A Mermaid’s Tale[]
Frilled Jellyfish Cookie and White Pearl Cookie can be seen interacting in the A Mermaid’s Tale Special Episode, where Frilled Jellyfish Cookie is White Pearl Cookie’s closest friend and servant. This assumption is made due to Frilled Jellyfish Cookie often referring to White Pearl Cookie as “my lady”, and because of the fact that Frilled Jellyfish Cookie is a jellyfish, rather than a mermaid. Frilled Jellyfish Cookie also has an epic costume, titled “Friendly Hotel Maid”. In her costume she is dressed as a maid, implying that in her story she works as some kind of maid or servant for White Pearl Cookie.
When White Pearl Cookie is not granted powers unlike the other gem mermaids, she grows sad and angry, swimming outside of the borders of Tearcrown. Worried for her safety, Frilled Jellyfish Cookie begins to follow after her, telling her that going outside of the borders could be dangerous. Despite this, White Pearl Cookie does not listen to Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s words and continues to swim off anyways, leading to her being captured by Abalone Cookie.
Eventually White Pearl Cookie gets rescued by the other gem mermaids and safely returns to Tearcrown. A while before the eclipse begins, she gives Lord Oyster, a cookie whom she fell in love with on Abalone Cookie’s ship, a special pearl that allows land cookies to dive underwater without drowning or becoming soggy. During the eclipse, White Pearl Cookie is ordered to stay in hiding while the other gem mermaids fight the land cookies. As a gem mermaid, White Pearl Cookie wants to help by protecting the Sea Fairy Tear, though Frilled Jellyfish Cookie tells her it’s too dangerous, and also notes White Pearl Cookie doesn’t have powers unlike the other gem mermaids. Infuriated by Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s exclamation, she swims away to protect the Sea Fairy Tear disregarding Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s warning.
At the location of the Sea Fairy Tear, White Pearl Cookie notices some of Abalone Cookie’s crew members attempting to steal the treasure. White Pearl Cookie attempts to defend the tear, although one of the crew members throws a harpoon at her. Before she is hit, Frilled Jellyfish Cookie swiftly jumps in the way and is stabbed by the spear. White Pearl Cookie is initially shocked, though grows worried due to Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s injury. Frilled Jellyfish Cookie tells her not to worry, as White Pearl Cookie’s safety is the only thing she cares about, to which White Pearl Cookie sobs due to causing her friend harm. White Pearl Cookie tries to help Frilled Jellyfish Cookie up, although her injury prevents her from moving.
In her final moments, Frilled Jellyfish Cookie tells White Pearl Cookie that only after meeting White Pearl Cookie had she found true happiness, and that White Pearl Cookie is kinder than anyone she knows. She then tells White Pearl Cookie a secret, that jellyfish live forever, before crumbling. After Frilled Jellyfish Cookie crumbles, White Pearl Cookie is determined to protect the sea in Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s name.
When Frilled Jellyfish Cookie wakes up again, she suffers memory loss and is unaware of her surroundings or who she is. She notes that it feels as if something is missing, and since this is after White Pearl Cookie’s transformation into Black Pearl Cookie, it can be assumed she’s referring to Black Pearl Cookie’s former self. The gem mermaids and Frilled Jellyfish Cookie flee the sea, as it is now to dangerous to live in, and the two cookies never face each other again.

Fans of this ship also assume that after seeing Frilled Jellyfish Cookie alive, Black Pearl Cookie may go back to her lovable White Pearl Cookie self, and Frilled Jellyfish Cookie may be able to gain more if not all of her memories back. Fans also like this ship because a main reason White Pearl Cookie made her descent into villainy was Frilled Jellyfish Cookie’s death.
