Dinah and Volta rarely interact in most productions. And never have any significant interaction. Dinah is there when Volta and the other components arrive and watches as they introduce Electra. Later, Volta and the other components watch when Dinah decides she doesn't want to race with Electra anymore. In the 2024 Wembley Park production, Volta is one of the components who use their magnetism to still Dinah when she's informed about Electra wanting to race with her.

Frozen Diner is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two having minimal interactions in the show itself. Some see them as an opposite's attract type pairing. As typically their portrayals are very opposing personalities to each other. As when Dinah is portrayed as ditsy and silly, these are productions that Volta is typically more stoic is serious. While in productions where Volta is more camp, Dinah is portrayed as much stronger and more serious. Some do see similarities between the characters based on certain productions. As Dinah was Greaseball's original partner and Volta was Electra's in the original London production. Some have also noted how feminine they both are in most productions. Its rival ships include GreaseDinah and Electronents.
Some shippers believe that the two may have gotten along with each other during Dinah's brief time as Electra's racing partner. With them getting together after the events of the show when Dinah dumps Greaseball. With many fans overall believing that Dinah deserves someone better than him. How Electra and the other components react varies, but most believe they would be supportive of the relationship. Fans of the ship often prefer to ship Dinah with female Volta over male Volta. Thought that's not to say that the latter is non-existent, just less likely.
