Volta arrives with the other components, introducing herself as Electra's freezer truck. She and Joule go back and forth describing Electra as cool and hot before he arrives. Pearl is later approached by Purse who informs her that Volta has a headache. Meaning that she can't be Electra's partner and he needs a new one.
Wembley Park Theatre[]
Control gets word that a new engine has made a late entry into the race. After Killerwatt and Wrench come forward, Volta does so as well with Joule beside him. She introduces herself as Electra's Dynamite truck and Volta introduces himself as Electra's freezer truck. The two state back and forth that Electra is "cool" and "hot", before they join the other components in listing the other reasons Electra is so great. They then all come together as Electra reveals themselves, Volta right next to them on their right side. After they finish and Greaseball interrupts them, the five stand above, Volta on Electra's left side next to Killerwatt. Volta then comes forward, stopping briefly in front of Electra with Joule. The two then join Killerwatt and Wrench as they tell Greaseball that Electra will be taking charge. Volta and the other components in recruiting Pearl for Electra's race partner before returning to them. The components, including Volta, then join Electra below as they confront Rusty. Volta backing up Electra. Electra then turns all the components around and they go to get ready for the final heat.

Frozen Lightning is a common ship in the StEx fandom. Though it is arguably the most popular ship between Electra and their individual components. Some fans believe that Volta may be Electra's favorite among their components. Mostly due to them going to originally be Electra's partner in the race in earlier productions.
On AO3, Frozen Lightning is the second most written ship for Volta and the fourth most written for Electra. There are currently 10+ written works.
