FuQing is the femslash ship between Fu Xuan and Qingque from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
Fu Xuan and Qingque are coworkers at the Divination Commission. The two frequently get on each other's nerves, with Fu Xuan annoyed that Qingque slacks off, and Qingque annoyed that Fu Xuan is stopping her from playing Celestial Jade.
Promotional Videos[]
In the Gamescom Show Video, Fu Xuan daydreams about her life of finally being promoted to General. In the dream, Qingque reports all of the improvements that have happened to the Luofu thanks to Fu Xuan's leadership. The pair then encounter a trash can that transports them to Belobog, where they find themselves in a battle with several automations. The two are surrounded, and Qingque worriedly exclaims, "General, do something!" Just then, Lynx arrives to assist so Fu Xuan can defeat all the monsters. In the real world, Qingque wakes Fu Xuan up telling her that there is an emergency.
In Keeping Up With Star Rail, Fu Xuan: Epochal Enigma, Qingque is the special guest invited to speak. She casually praises Fu Xuan, calling her abilities "OP" and referring to her as "a seasoned pro." Later, she expresses concern for her, saying "You won't get compensation if you're on the clock!" At the end of the video, Fu Xuan calls into the station and yells at Qingque for slacking off, saying "Just wait until I get there- you're in big trouble!"
Trailblaze Missions[]
After Kafka's arrest, Fu Xuan tasks Qingque with meeting the Astral Express guests while she questions Kafka through the Matrix of Prescience. Though Fu Xuan didn't intend for Qingque to escort the guests until after the questioning, Jing Yuan orders Qingque to bring the guests to the Matrix of Prescience as reinforcements. Fu Xuan is grateful, commenting that despite Qingque's unreliability, she will come through when needed. Fu Xuan asks the Astral Express members to help Qingque restart the base terminals. Qingque is miffed at having more work to do.
Events[]
During the event "A Foxian Tale of the Haunted" in Version 1.5, an in-game app called "Ghostly Grove" is available. This website functions like a social media outlet and is used to post about supernatural events. The protagonists, styling themselves the "Ghost-Hunting Squad", use it to track heliobus appearances.
The event features two missions involving one of Fu Xuan or Qingque being possessed by a heliobus:
- In the first mission, Fu Xuan finds herself possessed by a heliobus who firmly believes in predestination and is obsessed with matters of fate. Fu Xuan, in her altered state of mind, harshly reprimands Qingque, who takes her scolding with an awkward smile, before Fu Xuan declares that she is fired, to which she surprisingly reacts with joy, fully agreeing with the idea because the settlement money would allow her to change careers and open a Celestial Jade parlour while still meeting her own needs. Qingque eventually saves Fu Xuan by proving that people are also a variable in fate, allowing her to regain control over her body. Qingque then reminds her that she was fired earlier, to which Fu Xuan replies that she has no recollection of making such a statement and tells Qingque to go back to work, making it clear that she has no plan to fire her anytime soon.
- In the second mission, Qingque is possessed by a heliobus with delusions of grandeur who wishes to take over the universe. Fu Xuan and the Ghost-Hunting Squad enter Qingque's mind, and find themselves in a dream where Qingque has taken over the Xianzhou with a company centered around her favourite game, Celestial Jade. Fu Xuan discovers, to her dismay, that Qingque is called "President Qing" in her fantasy, and that she has been reduced to a mere dogsbody whom Qingque dismissively addresses as "Xuany". She helps Qingque snap out of her delusion by tricking her into believing that her company went bankrupt, thereby returning the favour for saving her in the previous mission. At the end of the mission, she inquires about Qingque's state of mind before patting her head, making it clear that she harbours no grudge for Qingque reversing their roles and humiliating her in her fantasy.
In one post following the missions, Fu Xuan receives a comment of an NPC asking if he could "slide into your DMs", to which Qingque comments the famous Demi Lovato meme "GET A JOB. STAY AWAY FROM HER".
Miscellaneous[]
If the player speaks to Youci, an NPC introduced in version 1.6 found in the Exalting Sanctum, and chooses the dialogue option "Do you have any stories that aren't so "intense"?", they might be told a fanciful story featuring both Qingque and Fu Xuan, where the former is made to be the one actually calling the shots on the Luofu, with General Jing Yuan a mere figurehead. At the end of the story, Qingque informally addresses Fu Xuan as "Fu-Fu" as she makes a nonsensical bet with her and ends up being right.

Fanon[]
FuQing is a rarepair in the Honkai: Star Rail fandom. It is popular amongst sapphics, and grew more popular as the pairing got featured in more promotional videos like the Gamescom Show Video, as well as in-game events such as Foxian Tale of the Haunted. Shippers compare their dynamic to love interests in an office rom-com. Common sexuality headcanons for the pair are lesbian, although bisexual and pansexual headcanons are not uncommon for either of them.
