Fubble is the femslash ship between Fanny and Bubble from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for BFDI[]
When Fanny says that she hates jumping, Pencil orders Lightning to zap her, telling her to stop killing the vibe. Bubble tries to stop Lightning, but is stopped by Pencil, who reminds her that she is a "bember". Bubble lets go of Lightning, who zaps Fanny; Bubble cries in shock, while Pencil and Match look at her, grinning evilly.
Match describes Bubble as "swollen", implying that she thinks Bubble has been looking overweight lately. A little bit after that, Fanny has been seen staring angrily at Match.
Match scolds Bubble for not knowing the answers, and demotes her from a "bember" to a "bemb". When Bubble started yelling "NOOOOOOOO!", Fanny seems to be looking at Match in disgust. After the credits, Fanny tells Bubble that Match got mad at her for not knowing the answers, but she actually didn't know the answers to the questions either, and calls her a hypocrite, and says that she hates her. Bubble thanks Fanny for this information.
When Bubble gets popped, Match says "Where's X? I need Bubble back!". Fanny tells Match to stop pretending to care about her. Match confronts Fanny, telling her to be quiet and that she doesn't know what she's talking about.
In Cake at Stake, Fanny sits next to Bubble. When Match is eliminated, Bubble says that it is all her fault that she is eliminated, thinking that Match was eliminated because she didn't forgive her. Fanny tells Bubble that she doesn't need her. Bubble answers that she does need Match and that she is her best friend.
When Snowball pops Bubble, Fanny walks past the recommended characters and then demands "Four" to recover Bubble. However, "Four" is seemingly unable to, and "X" attempts to make it seem like "Four" is doing the recovering instead of "X", by standing behind him while recovering Bubble.
After Fanny gets launched by Robot Flower over the recommended characters, she lands, and her parts come back together. Bubble eagerly points out that she's back in one piece, and Fanny says "Not mentally!".
When Team Ice Cube falls on Bubble, Bubble struggles to lift them up. Fanny shows concern for her, and helps to blow the other team, Beep, from landing on her. iance succeeds, but Flower accidentally falls on Bubble and pops her. Fanny, along with iance, stare in horror. When Flower says that it's no big deal and reminds them of the finale, Fanny, along with iance, continues to stare in horror.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Jacknjellify reposted a Tumblr post on their Twitter account that suggested the idea of a bubble machine being Fanny and Bubble's child if they had one. They said in response: "You like wisdom? This is wisdom over here."
Fanon[]
Despite Fanny hating everybody, she grows a liking towards Bubble and seems to genuinely care for her. Because of this, Fubble is one of the most popular ships within the fandom. Many like how Bubble is the only one who Fanny genuinely likes. The pairing rivals Bubblepop (Bubble and Lollipop). It is the most popular ship for both Fanny and Bubble.
On AO3, Fubble has 9+ works, and is the most written ship for both Fanny and Bubble.
The ship has become infamous on the r/BattleForDreamIsland subreddit for being among the most frequently posted ships on the sub; it has been posted so much that people of the sub actively post about hating the ship and the people who post about it.
