FunnyGummy is the het ship between Pomni and Gummigoo from the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom.

Candy Carrier Chaos![]
Pomni and the others are sent to a candy adventure outside of the circus. Caine informs them that the purpose of their visit to the Candy Kingdom is to rescue the civilization's most prized possession, maple syrup, from The Alligator Bandits. The gang are sent via truck to put a cease to their heist. Gummigoo, the leader of the bandits, spots the truck from afar and orders his crew to enter their own vehicle and escape before the chance of getting caught could occur. Pomni’s truck quickly catches up with him regardless, and Jax tosses Pomni between the vehicles, leaving her stretched out as she clings to both. Her grip loosens and she is flung atop of Gummigoo’s truck.

Gummigoo appears oblivious to this as his attention is focused on the others. He switches a lever to increase the speed of the vehicle in order to lose them to no avail. Jax demands Gangle to ram into the opposing truck, in which Gummigoo activates spikes that nearly pierces Pomni. The anchor tied to a rope is thrown with the intent of rescuing Pomni by Kinger, which ultimately results in the two trucks colliding. Pomni and Gummigoo clip through the ground after the faulty collison and falling out of the Map. From here, Gummigoo discovers his own game model and enters a state of intense mystification.

Pomni collides on the ground shortly after him. Gummigoo asks her about the models and the space they are stuck in. Pomni answers nervously that it is possible that they are under the map, confusing him further. He questions why Pomni and her “crew” aren’t appearing as one of the models and she answers that they are not NPCs. Gummigoo does not understand the term and questions who he truly is. He slowly enters a state of existential crisis and Pomni attempts to reassure him and calm him down. She expresses that there is a possible way of escaping the Map and searches her surroundings. Gummigoo approaches her and tells her to tell him exactly what he is. The two proceed to stare at each other in utter silence. Pomni is then seen attempting to lift up the truck with a sucker to no avail. She turns towards Gummigoo and asks if he desires to help her without a response from the latter. She slowly approaches him and asks if he is okay, in which he responds with a melancholic no. She offers to talk about his dreadful discovery in order to comfort him, but he declines. Pomni admits that she does not wish to leave him in the Map alone. He rebuttals against the statement and explains that there is no point in rescuing him, for his life is completely fake and declares himself as “nothing”. She proceeds to sit closely to him and claims that she understands his current feeling even if it is not exactly to his situation.

She explains that it may sound weird to him, but people back in “her world” feel similarly. She then asks if he cares for his friends back at the surface and ensures that they reciprocate his care towards them. Nevertheless, Gummigoo is submersed in his sorrow and affirms that he and his crew are obstacles created to be defeated and forgotten after players like Pomni beat them. However, Pomni states that he does not have to be. She introduces him to the circus and makes the offer to him for it to be his new home alongside her. She reassures that he has the chance of being someone real when he arrives there. Gummigoo questions how cheering him up is benefiting her and the latter replies that she does not wish for him to feel like nothing. He continues to question her and asks if he would belong and she answers again with, “I’m sure you wouldn’t belong any less than me,” lacing it with that she could use a friend. This successfully rekindles the light within him and he appears on board. He reminds her that he cannot tell his lads about his move and Pomni agrees. Pomni asks for his name, and upon him answering, she claims that it is just as foolish as her own.

Gummigoo then queries if Pomni knows how to get them away from the Map. She struggles to come up with a solution at first but lands on the possibility of collision between the truck and 3D blocks. She assures him if the current plan doesn’t work they could try something else. She ignites the engine, causing the truck to ram aggressively into the blocks. Before she could remind Gummigoo that the process could be violent, they are suddenly flung into the air. As they soar through the sky, they exchange smiles at each other. Upon finally reaching the surface, Pomni pukes violently; Gummigoo teases her for being unable to control the urge before copying this action himself.

Ragatha rushes to Pomni and asks if she is alright; Pomni confirms that she is whilst stating that she had made a new friend, referring to Gummigoo as he greets his friends with warmth. Pomni then introduces him to Ragatha and explains that he will become a new member of the circus alongside them. Ragatha is unsure if this is allowed and Pomni supports her statement by saying that his reality was “completely shattered” and inviting him to the circus was “the least she could offer him opposed to leaving him behind”. Ragatha then looks forward to his stay and the group return to the kingdom. Princess Loolilalu thanks them for their debt and tells them to have fun executing Gummigoo; Pomni plays along with this statement with a stutter to her voice as her and Gummigoo exchange thumbs-up to the princess. Gummigoo finally makes it to the circus and is naturally impressed. Before he could bask in the comfort of his new home, Caine obliterates him into nothing but confetti, killing him off. Pomni witnesses the scene in utter shock. Caine simplifies to her that if he confuses NPCs with humans then unpredictable events will happen. Pomni reacts by laughing maniacally in her bewildered and mournful state. Ragatha consoles Pomni, revealing to her that Caine sometimes likes to reuse NPCs and there is a possibility that she and Gummigoo will meet again in the near future.
Fast Food Masquerade[]
While working at Spudsy's, Gummigoo comes in as a customer with his friends. Pomni is so surprised to see him she ends up falling over. After Gummigoo gives her his order, Pomni becomes flustered and bashfully tries to ask him a question before simply saying hi and giving him an overly-friendly smile as she stares at him fondly. Gummigoo doesn't seem to remember her from their previous adventure and finds her behavior strange. When he asks if she's ok, she responds that she's fine before mixing up her words as she tells him "I'll call your order when your name is ready". Gummigoo then goes to sit at a table with his friends and Pomni slowly comes crawling up behind him. When he notices her, he asks if he can help her, to which Pomni once again just tells him hi. He returns the greeting and asks if they know each other, to which Pomni shows disappointment and says she doesn't know.
Back at the register, Gangle realizes that Pomni isn't at her post and asks Ragatha where she is, to which Ragatha replies that Pomni is "Flirting with the gummy-guy, because she would rather be with a NPC than with us". Gangle then goes and tells Pomni to return to the register, to which Pomni says Gummigoo's name and asks if the job can wait a bit. At the mention of his name, Gummigoo is visibly surprised that Pomni knew it and makes a gesture to tap her on her shoulder, presumably to ask how she knew his name when he hadn't told her, but this goes unnoticed by Pomni.
Later, as Pomni is taking the order for the Gloink Queen, she notices Gummigoo and his friends leaving and once again leaves her post to go after him. She tries to say something to him, but then notices that he seems distressed at her coming up to him and uncertain of how to behave around her due to her earlier behavior (some fans theorize that he remembered her, as he seems to display some fear, likely as a result of having been obliterated by Caine last time). Pomni hesitates on what she wanted to say before seemingly finding closure and sadly wishing him well. Gummigoo relaxes at this and smiles before tipping his hat to her and also wishing her well before leaving. Pomni then continues to sadly watch him leave, seemingly both regretful but also at peace with things between them.

FunnyGummy grew considerably popular within the The Amazing Digital Circus fandom due to the duo's mutual understanding and friendliness toward the other. The entirety of their interaction in Candy Carrier Chaos is what greatly influenced the ship to be born judging from the successful heartwarming consolement delivered from Pomni to Gummigoo even in his moment of existential crisis. Because of this, fanart depicted a healthy and touching relationship shared between them. The pairing could potentially be viewed as an Enemies to Lovers trope judging from Pomni ever contacting the other being underneath the duty of defeating him for the stolen maple syrup. The ship's popularity greatly increased after their interactions in Fast Food Masquerade, even among those who initially only considered them as just friends, with many comparing Pomni's reaction to him to that of running into your crush at work. The ship is greatly rivaled with ButtonBlossom for various reasons, but is additionally shipped alongside it.
