Fuukihiko is the het ship between Fuuka Yamagishi and Akihiko Sanada from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Fuuka and Akihiko are schoolmates at Gekkoukan High School. Fuuka is a second year, while Akihiko is a third year. Akihiko first meets her when he is in the hospital, and recognizes the fact that she is a potential persona-user. He gets an evoker made for her, However, Akihiko wonders if she is cut out for battle. Fuuka is a shy and quiet girl, who is often bullied by her classmates. This bullying escalates to her being locked inside the gymnasium, causing Fuuka to get trapped in the Dark Hour.
SEES make a plan to rescue her on the full moon, and Akihiko, Junpei Iori, and Makoto Yuki eventually find her in Tartarus. Akihiko says he's glad to see that she's okay, and then the team try to get into contact with the others. In the meantime, Junpei asks if Fuuka has been hurt by any monsters. She says she was able to avoid them, and Akihiko is impressed by her powers. He hands her an evoker, which Fuuka is startled by as she assumes it's a gun. Akihiko tells her to think of it as a lucky charm.
In the original English version, Akihiko and Fuuka refer to each other by their first names. However, in both the Japanese version and the Reload English version, they are only addressed by their surnames (In the Reload English version, Akihiko only refers to Fuuka by her first name two times: One before Fuuka joined SEES and another during July full Moon operative. Whether or not it was an error in dialogues or on purpose is unknown).
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight[]
Fuuka decides she wants to make rice balls to help encourage the dancers, and discusses possible fillings with Makoto. Akihiko overhears, and decides to join the conversation. Akihiko agrees to help out, and suggests filling the rice balls with protein to help re-energize the dancers. He then suggests adding whole lemons into the rice balls. Fuuka agrees, and says she will try to make them. Makoto reminds the two that, since they are in a dream, they can neither cook nor eat. Fuuka and Akihiko are disappointed by this realization, but decide to come up with something else they can do instead to support the dancers.
In another scene, Akihiko discusses his own desire to cook. Fuuka suggests that he get Makoto to help him taste-test dishes, just as she did. Akihiko agrees, then describes the first meal he wants to make: barbecued pig's feet in Strength Sauce. Makoto is unimpressed, but Fuuka says that it sounds like a professional dish. She encourages Akihiko to try his hand at cooking, while Makoto hopes that they'll both forget the conversation when they wake up.
Persona 4 Arena[]
After three years, they joined a new organization, the Shadow Operatives, created by Mitsuru.
Fanon[]
Fuukihiko is considered a rarepair in the Persona 3 fandom. Since Akihiko and Fuuka don't share very many interactions in the game, there are not many fans that have even considered the potential of shipping them. Akihiko also has multiple other popular ships, including Akishinji and AkiMitsu, which means that this ship is not very popular with Akihiko fans.
Shippers enjoy the dynamic between the two characters. They are often fans of Fuuka, and want to see her in a relationship with one of the SEES members. They like Akihiko and consider him to be a gentleman that would treat Fuuka right. Some fans also really enjoy the height difference between the two characters. Akihiko is one of the tallest members of SEES and Fuuka is one of the shortest, with a 9" difference between them.
This ship currently has over 10 works on AO3, and a very small presence on Tumblr.
