GakuLuka is the het ship between Kamui Gakupo and Megurine Luka from the Vocaloid fandom.
Canon[]
Luka and Gakupo are two voicebanks from the voice synthesizer Vocaloid. Neither of them has a canon personality or background and their relationship and dynamic depends on the song that they sing together. Even so, Luka and Gakupo have the disadvantage of being from different companies (Luka is from Crypton Future Media while Gakupo is from Internet Co.). They aren't shown together in a lot of semi-official content, although Gakupo appears in the manga Hatsune Mix. Gakupo and Luka tend to sing songs with a mature aesthetic.
Songs[]
Gakupo and Luka's most notable song is Go Google It by Ahming-P. The song is about Gakupo having feelings for Luka and wanting to know more about her, but Luka consistently responds him "go google it". At the end it is revealed that Luka likes Gakupo too, but refuses to admit her feelings. Another popular duet is Rhapsody of Loup-Garous by Suzuki-P, which is mostly inspired by the story "Lobo, the King of Currumpaw". It has some references to Buddhism and Hinduism.
Majo is a popular group song sung by the two of them, Miku, Rin and Len. In the song Lucca (Luka) and Cougar (Gakupo) are in love, but a witch hunter, Michelle (Miku), grows jealous because she was in love with Cougar, and she accuses Lucca for witchcraft. After that, Lucca is sentenced to dead and burnt at the stake, with Cougar cutting her long hair and tying her to the stake. During most of the song Lucca remember with sadness the times where she and Cougar were happy. At the end it is revealed that Lucca is a witch as she grows black wings and breaks free of the rope.

Other Songs[]
There are also some songs that aren't primarily about Gakupo and Luka, but where they are related in some way. For example, in The Lunacy of Duke Venomania, Luka is one of the many girls that Gakupo has in his harem. In Sabiritotashi no Dance, you can see Kayo (Luka in The Tailor of Enbizaka) and Cherubim (Gakupo in TMOTDM) dancing together. In Mr. Schadenfreude, Gakupo commits an act of necrophilia with Luka's corpse, which led Miku and Len to think that he was the devil in the town. In the end, he ended up being executed.
Fanon[]
The ship started due the popularity of the song Go Google It, and because people loved how their voices and designs matched together. Since then, GakuLuka became one of the most popular Het Vocaloid ships. It is often paired along with KaiMiku and RinLen, but there are also some people that ship them alongside KaiMei because they are both ships between vocaloids with mature voices and designs whose voices harmonize well together. In fact, some people believe that they look like counterparts, despite being from different companies. On most sites, it is the second most popular ship for both Gakupo and Luka, surpassed by GakuKai, MeiLuka, and Negitoro. It has around 80 fanfics on AO3 and 1100 works on Pixiv.
