Garbage Dump Trio is the friendship between Alphys, Bratty and Catty from the Undertale fandom.
Canon[]
During the events of any route, Alphys is already appointed the Royal Scientist, while Bratty and Catty are stuck selling garbage at the MTT resort to make ends meet.
Should the human inquire them about Alphys, Bratty will say that she used to be their neighbor. Catty claims that they both looked up to her like a big sister, though Bratty does find the analogy a bit unfitting. Catty corrects that it would be fitting if a big sisters regularly takes the little sisters to trips to the garbage dump. Bratty claims that they got all their trashdiving experience from her, Catty claims that Alphys was always interested in collecting "these weird cartoons". But when Bratty says that Alphys eventually became the Royal Scientist, Catty says that this means they haven't seen her in forever.
To understand why Alphys wanted to become the Royal Scientist in the first place, Bratty and Catty confirm that Alphys had a huge crush on Asgore. They have a running theory that wanting to impress Asgore was Alphys' motivation for creating Mettaton. In particular, it was Alphys supposed ability to create a robot with a soul that got Asgore interested in funding her project. So Bratty and Catty claim that Asgore gave Alphys a bunch of important tasks, to the point where Alphys hasn't been seen in public for quite some time. Neither have they heard of Alphys making another breakthrough, wondering what would keep her. They assume that Alphys never leaves her lab, hypothetically telling her to "live a little" like them.
Inquiring about the origin of Mettaton has them confirm that it was Alphys who designed him. However, they do poke holes into how Mettaton was able to recognize Alphys "like an old friend" despite having just been born. Bratty will claim that Mettaton eventually stopped being friends with Alphys, but Catty tells Bratty that they will be friends forever.
Should the player choose to do a Genocide route, Bratty and Catty will refuse to sell anything to the human, instead taunting them that Alphys just came here. This proves that Alphys does still care about the two, as she gave them instructions on how to evacuate. However, against Alphys' urgency, they remain at the resort because they don't want to waste their gel pens before using them up.

The sisterhood between Alphys, Bratty and Catty had been well-received by fans, as it gave Alphys a bit more backstory and deepened the characters of Bratty and Catty. Though there are some fans who ship all three of them in a polycule, that idea isn't too popular as the writing implies that Alphys is at least a few years older than them.
