Gelaneedle is the het ship between Gelatin and Needle from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.

Battle for Dream Island Again[]
For the Yoylestew challenge, Golf Ball sends Gelatin and Needle along with Spongy, Book, and Ice Cube, to ride Puffball to Yoyleland. While on the way there, Gelatin pushes the latter three off of Puffball, concerning Needle. Upon arriving, Gelatin hands Needle a basket to collect yoyleberries with. However, when Needle ends up provoking Leafy, she starts chucking knives at the two. The two promptly run away from Leafy as Gelatin asks why Needle caused her to do that. Explaining it was unintentional, Needle is given acid spitballs by Gelatin to use to disintegrate Leafy with. After firing multiple shots and missing, Puffball finds the two and flies them back away from the knives. When they arrive back to the team, Gelatin and Needle pour their yoyleberries into their team's bowl.
Needle places headphones on Gelatin during the sleeping challenge to put his team at a disadvantage. She thinks of him as the type of guy to have trouble sleeping and when Gelatin is discomforted by the headphones, Needle sarcastically welcomes him.
At the end of the paint covering challenge, Gelatin gives Puffball Speaker Box color reversing shades that end up causing Needle's team to lose. Needle angrily confronts him and blames him for their loss, calling him a nasty little troublemaker. Gelatin defends himself by saying even though he is in team FreeSmart at the moment, he needed to keep Team No-Name, his original team, safe.
Right as Needle is about to guess Bomby's gesture during charades, Gelatin wraps the headphones that Needle had put on him earlier around her mouth. Gelatin taunts Needle for placing them on him in the first place and explains how he was able to take the headphones' superglue off by sprinkling water on it. Tennis Ball calls for him to stop fighting with Needle and guess his gesture, which Gelatin is not able to figure out. Right when Gelatin's team loses, Needle crushes him with her foot and mocks him by calling him "thing to step in".

The ship mainly arose during the post-hiatus era of BFDIA. Their early friendship, although short in the show, provided shippers a glance of their dynamic. The pairing grew particularly in shipping circles on Twitter where a large part of its content originated from. Outside, the ship has made its way on sites such as fanfictions on AO3 and art on DeviantArt. The pairing is still usually seen as a rarepair by the larger fanbase, overshadowed by those such as Gelapop and Coineedle.
On AO3, as of October 30, 2024, the ship has 12 works under its romantic tag. It is currently the fourth most written ship for Gelatin and the third most for Needle on the site. It is also the 9th most written het ship for the fandom.
