Gelapop is the het ship between Gelatin and Lollipop from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Gelatin and Lollipop are contestants on the hit YouTube show, Battle for Dream Island. While Gelatin has competed ever since the uncanceled Season 2 (BFDIA), Lollipop only entered the game in Season 4 (BFB).
They had no direct interaction until BFB 18, which was their first interaction. In that episode, Gelatin compliments Lollipop's plan to impersonate and infiltrate the opposing team's tower in order to destroy it.
Gelatin asks his team how they get to the sun. Lollipop suggests that they should bring the sun to them.
Lollipop offers him fork repellent when Gelatin insists he needs more gizmos. Gelatin realizes she and Yellow Face are selling competing products and figures that this will make things interesting. In response to Gelatin's gift, Lollipop acts touched but then points out that they only got it for her cause. He tells her to just open it. Although he's still spiteful at her for lowering her satisfaction just because Yellow Face owns her gift, Gelatin agrees with Lollipop that the Have Nots shouldn't look at Woody as a dead weight. Lollipop tells her customer base not to listen to "the Gelatin."
Gelatin, Lollipop, and Leafy sit comfortably together in their house. When Leafy wanted to ask questions after Lollipop, she asked Gelatin, who was the next to ask. When Lollipop gets annoyed over Leafy and Firey bickering again, Gelatin tells her the history between the two. Lollipop realizes that they are the only "newbies" left in the game and proposes an alliance that grows into a friendship. They then join forces since they are the only 'newbies' left against the other 7 seasoned veterans. They also perfect their newbie handshake despite never doing it before. As soon as they lose, Lollipop says that they need more screen time and that Gelatin should do anything like a silly dance. Gelatin listens and starts making random moves while chanting "Gelatin and Lollipop" repetitively. Since they are now in the Final 9, they therefore get a lot of development. Their friendship grows overtime as their team faces many eliminations until BFB 24: The Game has Changed, where the contestants merge.
While Gelatin tells Lollipop they are screwed in Cake at Stake, she replies with a bored "Oh no." When Lollipop tells Gelatin that they are falling behind, Gelatin randomly suggests "niblet swizzling." Lollipop reminds Gelatin of the location where they could get a lock cutter. Despite Gelatin complaining about walking to Yellow Face's Warehouse, she states that they can just take the 200-year-old steam train instead. As they ride to Yellow Face's Warehouse, Lollipop and Gelatin notice that their sweaters are itchy, and they agree to take them off without Flower knowing. Gelatin tells Leafy and Lollipop about the purple box that they should avoid. When Purple Face starts chasing them, Gelatin remembers how the sweaters repel vomit. When Lollipop asks how that would help, Gelatin explains that even if Purple Face eats them, the sweaters will protect them from his stomach acid. Gelatin suggests they could punch their way out, but Lollipop says they cannot. She asks Gelatin if he has any ideas to escape Purple Face.
Gelatin asks Lollipop and Firey if they've seen Teardrop. Lollipop says she hasn't but will let him know if she does. Lollipop repeatedly informs Gelatin that Teardrop suddenly appears when they are discussing their parties. Due to her win in the contest, Lollipop selects Gelatin for immunity alongside her and Flower.
Not wanting to sit through Purple Face's tour, Lollipop leaves, bringing Gelatin along with her. Gelatin is excited since he sees it as them going rogue and adds Teardrop to their group.
Gelatin and Lollipop try to figure out how they can get high in the air. Gelatin tells Lollipop that according to his book on sun facts, Blocky's cardboard spaceship should still be in the sun. Profily could be snatched up and dropped by the BRB easily if Lollipop could get it. Initially, it seemed as if the two would work together, but Flower instead retrieves the ship with Lollipop.
The moment they realize that they're both in the bottom 2, Lollipop and Gelatin panic. Gelatin proposes that whoever loses should inject their color into whoever stays. Gelatin is simply thinking that it would be cool, while Lollipop agrees, hoping that the spirit of their alliance might continue. In the end, Lollipop is eliminated, and uses Gelatin's syringe to suck out her purple coloring and inject it into him. They hug each other after she says it was an honor to be in the final 5 with him and Teardrop. When Gelatin gets trapped inside the World's Largest Oven, she begins to wish that Lollipop was still in the game because she would know what to do. Gelatin also compares her being gone to having her voice suddenly change in a day.
After Lollipop realized Gelatin's purple substance had disappeared after he recovered, she voted for Flower because she believed Gelatin threw it away on purpose. Lollipop changes her vote to Gelatin to win. Lollipop tells Gelatin that second place isn't that bad and that she is proud of him. Gelatin thanks her and says he forgot they were competing for a while. Gelatin answers that it will last between three years or so. Lollipop is confused and asks how long it will last. In his conversation with Flower, Gelatin tries to refuse the prize Flower is giving him, saying that she won it, and then turns to Lollipop to confirm it. Lollipop nods. Afterward, Lollipop suggests that they finally see how the BFB works. Lollipop eventually loses patience with Gelatin's repeated attempt to use the BFB to replay BFB 16's beatboxing scene. Gelatin apologizes. They then try to figure out how and why Four created the BFB. While riding the steam train, Gelatin and Lollipop listen as X explains how much of a fan Four was of BFDI and how he created the BFDI prize. In the end, Lollipop is listening as Gelatin reads his comic.

Gelapop is a kinda popular ship within the Battle for Dream Island community. Due to the alliance they formed in BFB 22 (and their dynamic in general), a kinda big group of people ship it. However, is a ship that is also very disliked, mainly due to people seeing them as mother and son or siblings. Another reason is very disliked is by many people seeing Lollipop as Lesbian, and for a lot of people thinking Gelatin is a child, due to the fact Gelatin said he was 6, although he was joking, and it was actually a reference to his debut in BFDIA 1, which was 5 years ago and it would be 6 in 2018 (When BFB 6 released). There is little fanart of the ship, but it's usually good. Gelapop is foreshadowed by its rivaling ships Flowerpop (Flower/Lollipop), Gelanut (Gelatin/Donut) and Fireatin (Firey/Gelatin).
