GenMui is the slash ship between Genya Shinazugawa and Muichiro Tokito from the Demon Slayer fandom.

In the fight against Kokushibo, Muichiro forms his Demon Slayer Mark, and unleashes his original Mist Breathing: Seventh Form - Obscuring Clouds. After a few attacks, Kokushibo slices Muichiro's hand off. Muichiro quickly stops the bleeding, and continues to fight. Kokushibo is impressed, but stabs Muichiro's sword through his shoulder. Meanwhile, Genya was hiding behind a curtain, with his shotgun and nichirin blade. Genya tries to attack Kokushibo, but is quickly cut into slices. Muichiro screams out his name in panic despite having given up before and immediately tries to take out the sword from his shoulder, but he couldn't. Kokushibo is then blocked by Sanemi, Genya's brother and the Wind Hashira.
While Sanemi and Gyomei are fighting Upper Moon One, Muichiro and Genya both want to help fight. Muichiro eventually rips his sword out of his shoulder, but knows he only has a few hours left to live. Muichiro ties up his wounds with cloth, and wants to help Gyomei and Sanemi the best he can, but Genya screams his name, telling him to grab Upper Moon One's hair, so he can consume it and become stronger. Genya says he wants to fight until the end, to help his big brother because he don't want to let him die. Muichiro listened to him, and tells him that both him and Genya will "fight together till the end".
Afterwards, Muichiro feeds Genya the lock of Upper Moon One's hair, and helped bandaging him up, putting his severed body back together. Genya also helps patch Muichiro's wounds. During this time, it seems that Muichiro come up with a plan to defeat Upper Moon One. The plan consists of him stopping Upper Moon One for a moment, while Genya will shot both him and Upper Moon One altogether. Muichiro told Genya to forget about him, to not hesitate for a second while doing so.
Both of them die after this fight, being cut in half by Upper Moon One's attack. Genya is cut vertically, while Muichiro horizontally.
Even while Genya is dying, Muichirou is still on his mind as we can see him rejecting Gyomeis help and repeatedly calling out ‘Tokitou-san’ and continuously asking if Muichirou himself is okay.
In the Kimetsu Gakuen spin-off series, we can see that they are also close. Genya asks Tanjiro to help him find a tutor because Sanemi was scolding him for his grades. Even though Genya doesn't call Muichiro by his first name, it seems that they are close as we often see them together. During the test, Genya tries to motivate himself by thinking of the times when Muichiro congratulated him, resulting in him getting an 100.
In another chapter of the Kimetsu Gakuen spin-off, when Genya was invited by his friends to see the cherry blossoms, he said that Muichiro has already invited him.
Fanon[]
Despite the fact that they are not seen interacting as much prior to the Upper Moon One fight, they seem to have so much trust on each other. This dynamic even led to the defeat of Upper Moon One.
There's also the scene in the picture above, where Genya is bandaging Muichiro up. The way they stare at each other with genuine concern seemed very intimate. The ‘we will fight together till the end’ scene can also be interpreted as a ‘till death do we part’
Both Genya and Muichiro also parallel each other in a sense, which is the most obvious in the fact that they both shared a similar fate where they have elder brothers that acted harsh to them, seemingly pushing them away. Nevertheless, their elder brothers also shared similar intentions, which is to protect them from the cruel world of demon slaying.
GenMui is a very loved ship in the fandom, with many fanarts and fanfics of them together. It is one of the most popular slash ships. However, some prefer to just view the two as friends.
