Ghostwalker is the het ship between Ava Starr and John Walker from Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom.
Canon[]
Ava and John were initially enemies. They first meet, along with Yelena Belova and Taskmaster, when they are sent to an O.X.E. facility to kill each other by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Ava was sent to kill Taskmaster, while John was sent to kill Yelena. After Ava kills Taskmaster, Yelena, Ava and John hold each other at gunpoint. The four then realize that this was one of Valentina's plans to get rid of any remaining evidence on her illegal activities. Ava and John both remove weapons from the body of Taskmaster, claiming that they need it more than she does. The room was subsequently revealed to be an incinerator designed to kill Ava, John and Yelena. Ava and John worked together along with Yelena and Bob to escape.
When they escape the incinerator, Ava disappears. John states his lack of surprise that she left. When she comes back, he states that he "didn't think you'd come back", and thanks her, reaching out a hand so she can help him out. Ava walks past her, saying that she "had to". Later, Ava disappears for the second time. John, Yelena and Bob work together to stay alive when being attacked by a STRIKE team ordered by Valentina. They find Ava waiting in a truck. John remarks how it is the "second time you came back". Ava responds, saying "This was the only way out, okay? That's all."
After they get on the truck, Bob leaves to distract the soldiers and give the others time to escape. Yelena, John and Ava leave in the truck. They travel together before meeting Alexei and getting into his car. Ava and John sit in the backseat together. When the STRIKE team catches up and starts shooting at them, Ava phases out of the car to try and stop them. However, the trucks are equipped with supersonic speakers that inhibit Ava's phasing. John pulls Ava back into the car and uses his shield to protect them against the bullets.

There are currently over 100 works for this pairing on AO3. Although not as fast-growing or as popular as Boblena, GhostWalker is another ship that took off after the release of Thunderbolts. The pairing is also popular platonically, with over 60 works. It is Ava's most popular romantic ship, and John's third most popular romantic ship.
