GiSeon is the het ship between Seon-nyeo and Seong Gi-hun from the Squid Game fandom.

It is known that Gi-hun came back to the games in order to end them, however there is still mystery to Seon-nyeo's character and her reason for why she's playing the games. The two met in the dormitory where Gi-hun wakes up from his sleep to find Seon-nyeo looking at him from her bed. After everyone woke up and players got off from their beds, Seon-nyeo goes to Gi-hun to tell him that he's not here for nothing. She proceeds to tell him that the spirits of the past players are haunting him which is why he's back here again. Their one-sided conversation ends with her telling him that she can cleanse his soul after they get out.

I see the wandering souls trapped with you unable to rest in death. You didn't come here of your own volition. Those vengeful souls dragged you here. You have bad karma, but I can help with that. When the first vote is held and Gi-hun walks up to the buttons, Seon-nyeo starts talking from her bed about the vote. She starts saying how it's useless and that all the player's fates were destined from the moment they were born. After stopping and listening to her words, Gi-hun continues walking up to the buttons to press 'X'.

During Mingle, the two get together in a room after Hyun-ju drags Seon-nyeo with their teams. While inside, Seon-nyeo starts telling everyone how without her they would all die. Then, she glances at Jun-hee and then looks at Gi-hun to tell him that he's destined to protect her. After Mingle, the two barely ever meet each other on screen.

Fanon

GiSeon is a rarepair that is usually seen in a funny light. This is because of how people perceive Seon-nyeo's character and not take her seriously, as well as the way she looks at Gi-hun. Fans like to make jokes about how she's trying to 'rizz' up Gi-hun with that look and many think that she was watching Gi-hun in his sleep, when players were still only waking up. There are theories regarding Seon-nyeo and how she seemingly knew of Gi-hun's past by telling him how he came back here through fate right after they woke up. In fact, many point out that she might actually be right in her tellings, and that she might predict the future correctly. Because of this, many are scared that she'll actually be able to predict whether Gi-hun will die or not, or whether he'll stop the games.

Since both characters have other more popular ships, GiSeon would be considered a rarepair. Gi-hun is shipped with either In-ho or Sang-woo, while Seon-yeo is shipped with either Mi-nyeo or Park Mi-hwa. In terms of shipping, Seon-nyeo isn't a popular character to begin with because most fans dislike her, which might be another reason why this ship isn't as popular.
