Canon[]

Season 1[]

Gi-hun and Jung-bae are seen at the bank as Gi-hun is trying to guess his mothers pin-code for her credit card. Then the two are gambling together, in which Gi-hun ends up winning. Excited by this Gi-hun is about to leave with his money until he spots the Loan Sharks, as he tries to flee away from them he ends up dumping into someone causing the two to fall to the ground as Gi-hun quickly apologies before continuing to run away from the loan sharks. But eventually they catch up to him, bringing Gi-hun into a bathroom to discuss the money he owns, as Gi-hun was gonna show them the money he won but after checking his pockets for the money he soon realizes that he got pickpocket by the girl he dumped into earlier. The Loan Sharks start discussing other options like selling his organs and such, scared he pleads for them to give him some more time, they agree but not after scaring him a bit more along with making him signing a contract for consent for if he fails.

Eventually he meets The Salesman, he asks Gi-hun to give him an opportunity, but Gi-hun feels uncomfortable with this and points his lighter gun at him, causing The Salesman to panic. Then, The Salesman quickly composes himself and invites Gi-hun to play Ddakji with him. The winner will receive ₩100,000. Hearing this, Gi-hun reluctantly agrees to play. Gi-hun loses the first round but The Salesman succeeds. The Salesman asks if Gi-hun has any money, but Gi-hun refuses and is slapped in the face as a substitute to pay for the ₩100,000. Gi-hun decides to keep playing but continues to lose, getting slapped in the face multiple times until he finally wins. Gi-hun tries to get revenge by slapping The Salesman, but The Salesman blocks him and hands him the prize money.

After that the Salesman asks Gi-hun if he wants to partake in the 33rd Squid Game, doubtful about this offer the Salesman tells Gi-hun all about his debt problems using it as a way to persuade him to agree. Gi-hun asks how he even got this info to which The Salesman just hands him a card telling him to call soon as there isn't to many spots left. Eventually Gi-hun decides to partake in the games. When he joins them, he finds out Sang-woo is also in the games and greets him during Red Light, Green Light. Sang-woo tells him that they'll talk later after the game ends, where he helps Gi-hun survive by telling him to hide behind others. After the game, Gi-hun votes to leave the games while Sang-woo votes to continue the games, with the vote ultimately ending in a win for Gi-hun's choice.

Sometime later he notices Sang-woo his other childhood friend in town again. Gi-hun hands him coffee and the two have a little chat, where he finds out about Sang-woo's debt. After Gi-hun knows of his mothers illness, he comes back home where he meets Jun-ho. Jun-ho pleads with him to let him help find his brother, as he is in suspicion that the games that Gi-hun participated in had something to do with it. However, Gi-hun tells him that he can't help him and leaves him be. Later, both Sang-woo and Gi-hun join back the games, with Jun-ho infiltrating them.

During the games, Sang-woo and Gi-hun are together as a group when they aren't playing, while in Tug of War they are together in Team Four. The two make it to the final three with Kang Sae-byeok after Glass Stepping Stones, and Gi-hun gets into an argument with Sang-woo because he isn't happy with Sang-woo's choice of killing Player 017. After dinner, Gi-hun comes up to talk to Sae-byeok and is ready to kill Sang-woo but gets interrupted by her when she tells him to not kill him, because in her words he's not that type of person. Sang-woo later on does kill her when Gi-hun tries to get help for her because she got a fatal injury, and that angers Gi-hun. The two play the final game, Squid Game, where the two fight until death. During the fight, Gi-hun gets the upperhand and can end the game, however he choses not to and extends his hand to Sang-woo instead so they both get out. However, Sang-woo choses to stab himself in the neck, which leaves Gi-hun devastated and the sole winner of the 33rd Annual Squid Game.

The Front Man, also known as In-ho, is occasionally seen monitoring Gi-hun's progress through the games via screens, enjoying jazz music and sipping whisky throughout the events. Finally meeting face-to-face upon the car ride to the mainland, the two have a talk where In-ho compares Gi-hun to a horse, and later drops him off on the streets with a debit card in the player's mouth.

2 years later as Gi-hun is seen to be going on a plane to be with his daughter in the United States but then he sees The Salesman playing Ddakji with someone at a subway station. He tries to catch The Salesman but fails and swears to join the Frontman's games again and take them down once for all.

Season 2[]

Gi-hun sets a goal to end the games after briefly seeing The Salesman at the metro station recruiting someone. Over the phone call with In-ho, he chooses to go back and not get on the airplane. Then he makes a plan on how to catch the Slesman and gets Kim Jeong-rae to get his workers on the plan as well. After several weeks/months of endless searching with no results, Kim Jeong-rae and Choi Woo-seok finally see the one who they need and chase after him. Briefly, after Gi-hun speeds and is pulled over by traffic cops, Jun-ho sees that it was Gi-hun who was pulled over and goes to his office to find more information on him. In the meantime, Jeong-rae and Woo-seok are getting tortured by The Salesman as they play his game where Jeong-rae dies.

After some time passes, Gi-hun enters the Pink Motel and sees The Salesman in his room. They then play Russian Roulette, in which the Recruiter dies and shortly after, Jun-ho enters the room. He tries to arrest Gi-hun in suspicion of killing The Salesman, except he gets interrupted by Woo-seok as he gets hit in the head. Gi-hun confused by this gets an explanation to who Woo-seok is, and he explains how Jeong-rae died. Later, Jun-ho wakes up in the bathroom and Gi-hun interrogates him. After Jun-ho makes him remember who he is, he then accepts his offer to help him find the island. Gi-hun with Woo-seok and Jun-ho go to the club to which Gi-hun was invited to and get to their plan. After two pink guards come into the club, with one dealing with Woo-seok and the other leading Gi-hun outside, Jun-ho tries to find the other two but it's too late. Gi-hun gets into the limousine and after some back and forth with the Front Man, he choses to get back into the games. After Gi-hun becomes a player again, Jun-ho and Woo-seok try to find the island on where they take place.

Gi-hun meets Jung-bae and In-ho back in the games, except In-ho is now using his Young-il persona as Gi-hun truly never saw who the Front Man was. Gi-hun tells Jung-bae to stay by his side at all times and they play all the games together, with Gi-hun sometimes bringing up Sang-woo without mentioning him. They also talk to each other during one of the nights where Jung-bae makes him laugh even briefly while reminiscing on the past, with In-ho listening in on them in his bed. Gi-hun and In-ho become friends very quickly over the course of the games, but also get into some small arguments from time to time due to their conflicting ideas. After everyone went to sleep, In-ho tells him about his past in present tense, and Gi-hun accepts him into his circle even after the other voted for "O". They play all the remaining games together until the rebellion when In-ho betrays Gi-hun, and gets on his Front Man suit in which he kills Jung-bae right in front of him.

Fanon[]

The ship's birth was a mix result of 457's massive growth after S2 then at some point Sangihun started to get some talk again especially when in comparison to 457, eventually SalesHun was brought into the mix what with its status as a smutship along with some finding it a bit funny of In-ho's employee being interested in Gi-hun since S1. When purely stopping at just these 3 ships it results in Red Flag Magnet but with the inclusion of JunHun and/or Junghun is the result of Gihun's Harem. Though sometimes Gihun's Harem ship posts just have it be 3 suitors (Sang-woo, In-ho and The Salesman) instead of 4 or 5. Usually it's either JunHun or Junghun but occasionally they are both added in ship content and usually when this occurs Junghun is portrayed as platonic rather then romantic, rarely as both though, as usually Jung-bae in the ship (along in some 457 content as well) is portrayed as some sort of “third wheel” alongside the suitors.

It's pretty easy to find TikTok animation videos and gacha life/club videos using the song 'Bitches' by Mindless Self Indulgence, as it shows Gi-hun standing or sitting on a chair as the others one-by-one appear every time "bitches love me" is said. Another variant to this is mostly the same but with the song 'Poison' by Bell Bid Devoe, or also known as "me and the crew used to do her" audio playing instead. There is even a work on AO3 made under the same lyrics with most ships from the harem involved.

The oldest piece of content for the ship, before it even became a ship, is this work made back in 2021 on October 12, it only involves Gi-hun with the Squid Guards.

It is extremely popular on Twitter, and there are some works on AO3 of the ship. However, it doesn't have a filtered tag yet so to find works for this ship it's recommended to search for at least 3 of the ships in the harem together.

Jealousy/Possessiveness is a extremely common factor to this ship as many shippers love seeing it and think it would even fit perfectly. Usually finding it to just be very humorous and even steamy. The jealousy generally comes between Sang-woo and In-ho, and sometimes even The Salesman, as the two are the closest with Gi-hun while Jung-bae is the third/fourth wheel or the one that Gi-hun usually relies on for help. Some funny scenarios also involve the Hwang Bros, as fans think it would be funny if the Front Man finds out that Gi-hun is with his younger brother. Most works depicting the harem like to make AU's where Gi-hun meets all of his suitors outside the games where they try to get his attention, and obviously try to get with him.

Comics and doodles like this and memes like this are very common to find.

Often Kang Dae-ho is added as another green flag in the harem, occasionally even replacing Junghun’s place while Player 062 has been quickly growing as another member in the harem. Rarely is Cho Hyun-ju, Kim Jeong-rae, Masked Officer, Ali Abdul, a Squid Guard (usually a Square or Circle Guard but sometimes a Triangle Guard), Kang No-eul, Kang Sae-byeok and Choi Woo-seok added into the mix. But Kim Jeong-rae is occasionally brought up as an honor mention in Gihun's Harem and Red Flag Magnet posts. Oftentimes Gi-hun's ex-wife, Kang Eun-ji isn't added as many say it's because she doesn't like him anymore along with adding an extra comment consisting how it's just gonna be all men in this harem.
