Glassheart is the femslash ship between Chloe Charming and Red from the Descendants fandom.

Canon

When Red and Chloe first met at the entrance to Auradon Prep, where they saw their mothers have a brief conversation, the two princesses did not get along. Chloe tried to be nice to Red, who rejected her niceness from thinking that Chloe is the kind of person she wants nothing to do with. After the royals of walked away from Chloe and Queen Cinderella, Chloe couldn't understand why her mother would defend the Queen and Princess of Hearts, who were so rude to them. Like Chloe, Red was looking forward to attending Auradon Prep, but her mother had other ideas as she used the celebration to lunch a coup on the Kingdom and takes everyone prisoner. Because of the pressure Red was under from her mother, who wants Red to be just like her, she finds herself sentencing the beheading of Cinderella; after she tried to reason with the Queen of Hearts. Red felt terrible for what she did and is happening around her, she remembers the time machine pocket watch she brought with her. Just as Red was about to use it, Chloe gets her sword out in an attempt to save her mother and Red tries to stop her, resulting in both girls being sent to the past.

Chloe wasn't sure what just happened, while Red didn't why they were sent so far back in time, as she original planned to go back a few minutes to grab her mother's cards to prevent the coup. Despite this, Red thinks that she and Chloe would trust the watch's choice and to see why they were sent to a point in time before the Kingdom of Auradon was founded, and when Auradon Prep was originally known as Merlin Academy. Because of what happened back in the present, Chloe didn't feel that she could trust Red and the two fought over the watch until they agreed to work together on changing a moment in the past to save the future. Though Chloe insisted on hanging onto the watch, from not fully trusting Red, who is a VK while she is an AK. Thanks to Chloe's knowledge on history and a previous conversation with their mothers about an event that happened at Castlecoming Dance, they were able to find their way around Merlin Academy. Chloe wanted to be honest with Merlin when the two met him, but Red comes up with a cover story of them being transfer students before Chloe could speak. With lying not allowed in Auradon Chloe was not impressed, while Red reminds her that the Kingdom of Auradon doesn't existed yet.

After the two meet the teenage versions of their mothers, Bridget and Ella, they were surprised on how different they were to their adult selves, and that they used to be best friends. Until someone pulled a terrible prank on Bridget that killed her kind hearted natured, as she becomes the tyrant Queen of Hearts, while ending her friendship with Ella. With this knowledge in hand and identifying Ursula's little sister, Uliana as the one who pulls the prank, Red and Chloe make it their mission to prevent the prank from happening. In order to keep Bridget nice and to save Cinderella, after the looking glass showed the two her fate back in the present.

During Red and Chloe's time in the past, they begin to trust one another and become friends. As they get to know each other a bit better, along with Red saving Chloe from getting eaten by a giant eel. When it came to getting their hands in the magic cook book, that Uliana and her gang will use to make the cursed desert that is set to Bridget into a hideous monster at the Castlecoming Dance, however, the two get into a big fight. Chloe wants to tell Merlin the truth, while Red thinks that they could steal it before the VKs of the past do. After a talk with Ella, Chloe realises that one must get their hands dirty to do what's right, and goes to aid Red. In order to stop another one of Merlin's security owls to alert him to the break in of his office, Chloe sacrifices the glass shoes her parents gave her as a gift, to help Red. Who in turn takes the shoes of teenage Hook to replace the ones Chloe lost, after the enchantment on the book petrified Uliana and her gang when they opened it. Despite Red being a VK herself, Chloe reassures her that the book will see her as the right hands. When the book didn't petrifie her as well, Red came to see the good that Chloe has come to see in her.

With Merlin placing the VKs in detention forever and managed to get their hands on the book, Red and Chloe felt it was time for them to return home. Chloe gives Red back the watch before they use it to to return back to the present. As they find themselves being brought back seconds before the Queen of Hearts launched her coup, at first Red and Chloe thought that they failed to change the past, until Red's mother uses her cards to summon bobble hearts. As Red and Chloe succeeded in preserving Bridget's kind and lovingnature and grew to become the mother Red always wanted. Along with Chloe finding her mother to be alive and well, as everyone celebrates. Although both Red and Chloe got what they want, messing with the flow of time has a price and Uma's closing narration reveals that their story isn't over.

Glassheart is one of the main ships of the fourth film, and thanks to a brief scene of Red and Chloe pressing their foreheads against one another's while singing their duet song, it some people to parallel them with Mal and Evie. Their color schemes have also attracted fans of red/blue duos and couples.

With the film feeling rushed, fans felt that it mostly focused on Chloe and Red, rather than the other characters. Disappointing fans who wanted to see more of their mothers' teen years, like having Chloe and Red sticking around to see Bridget and Ella enjoy the dance before they return to their home time, and more of the VKs of Merlin Academy.
