GloChip is the het ship between Gloria Sato and Chip Whistler from the Big City Greens fandom.
Canon[]
Gloria and Chip have had very little interactions within the show, only havingnactually interacting with each other in two episodes. However, one thing they had in common is that both were not fond of the Green family at first, especially Cricket, who they despised. However, while Gloria slowly began to befriend them over time, Chip's relationship with them only worsened.
Season 1[]
Gloria and Chip meet in "Coffee Quest", as her and Cricket are searching for coffee beans. After they find a bag and were about to leave, Chip intercepts them and steals the bag. They do a little tug of war for it which Gloria joins in on. Chip seems to take interest in her upon first glance, calling her "ponytail" in a somewhat suggestive tone. She doesn't seem interested however, and before Chip can be introduced to her, Gloria spin kicks Chip away as she and Cricket escape with the coffee beans. They enter a car chase that ends with Cricket and Gloria crashing and escaping to the latter's dingy apartment. Chip catches up to them, forcing Cricket to call Tilly to come and assist them. Cricket and Gloria escape on a box sled pulled by a goat and sheep with Chip and his goons in hot pursuit. Gloria and Chip fight over the bag of beans with the latter trying to convince the former to join him, but she refuses and gets the bag back; breaking his teeth in the process again. Cricket and Gloria escape through the Silver Way Bridge with Chip vowing revenge to run Cricket and his family out of Big City someday.
Season 2[]
In "Chipwrecked", Gloria encounters Chip again, who tries to run Big Coffee out of business, but Cricket and the Greens no longer take him seriously and know that will never happen. Later, at Big Coffee, the other Greens learn Cricket only used them to do his work for him, which they aren't willing to do anymore and call him out for it. When they are about to leave Cricket by himself, Chip arrives with his new Wholesome Squad, who start dismantling and destroying everything in the café much to their horror and shock. Cricket tries to interfere, but is immediately outmatched by one of the bouncers. Just before Gloria could call the cops, Chip bribes Ms. Cho into retirement, seizing control of Big Coffee and firing Cricket and Gloria and kicking everyone out. This left the two jobless.
In "Chipocalypse Now", Gloria briefly took a job at Wholesome Foods, meaning she was working for Chip at the time. However, she abandoned it to help the Greens.
Season 4[]
In "Chipped Off", in a flashback and during the time the Greens in Smalton, Chip at one point snuck into the Greens' house, dressed as a ghost, and found Gloria instead of the Greens, who at the time was watching a horror movie. When Chip pops up in front of the screen, she is immediately frightened and hides under her blankets, Chip asks her where the Greens are, and she informs him that they had moved back to Smalton.
Fanon[]
Despite their little interactions within the series and their not-so-friendly first meet, GloChip is still shipped by fans and one of the popular ships within the fandom. One reason for the pairing could likely be because of their then-common disdain for the Green family, especially when it came to Cricket. Another contributing factor could be Chip's clear interest in her upon their first meet in "Coffee Quest". The way Chip referred to her as "Ponytail" in a seemingly suggestive tone and wanting to be introduced by Cricket could've been hinting at a possible romantic attraction at first sight.
