After his fight against Jimmy Bae (Bae Jihun in the Korean version) led to his childhood friend, Ben Park (Park Humin in the Korean version) getting seriously wounded in a fight against Donald Na (Na Baekjin in the Korean version), Alex has mellowed out a bit and doesn’t get into fights as often. He still doesn’t hesitate to jump in and protect his friends when needed.

Webtoon fans ship Alex mainly with Ben Park due to them being childhood best friends since preschool and Ben willing to risk his life to protect Alex. Fans also ship him with Jack Kang (Kang Jeongyeon in the Korean version) because of their rivalry and hatred for each other to the point where Jack attacks Alex on sight. Fans love how much he cares about his friends. Some fans are upset by how he didn't have many wins in the series, despite training in Season 3.
