Golden Ball x Spring Mustachio is the slash ship between Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio from the One Punch Man fandom.
Canon[]
Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio seem to have a good relationship as they are both often seen hanging out together or teaming up to perform certain hero tasks. Their canonical interactions have shown that they seem to be good friends and care about each other's well-being. However, it is not yet known when and how they met each other.
Rumored Monster Arc[]
In Chapter 20, Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball arrive in Z-City to investigate a rumor of finding the source of increased monster attacks. They are wondering where to start since it is a big city. Spring Mustachio remembers that there is an uninhabited neighborhood to the east - the so-called "Ghost Town" - where people once lived until monsters attacked. They go check it out.
They soon meet a seaweed monster known as Kombu Infinity and decide to attack it. Golden Ball starts with his slingshot and uses a golden ball, but Kombu Infinity easily knocks it out. Golden Ball is surprised by that and is unaware of one of the seaweed tentacles sneaking up on him through a nearby storm drain. Suddenly, it grabs his leg and then pulls him through the drain, then slams him into the wall of a nearby building. This renders him unconscious and he falls to the ground injured.
A worried Spring Mustachio calls out Golden Ball's name. However, he recovers in time when Kombu Infinity tries to attack him and he manages to dodge it. Spring Mustachio decides to attack the monster next. The seaweed monster sends several seaweed tentacles at him and tries to attack him again, but the hero manages to fight back with his rapier. When Spring Mustachio uses his secret special technique, he manages to damage one of the seaweed tentacles, but the monster was too fast and dodged the attack, surprising the hero. In the end, he calls for reinforcements from the Hero Association as he continues to fight the monster. However, he is soon defeated and loses consciousness. After Saitama deals with the monster, Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio are sent to the hospital.
Hero Hunt Arc[]
In Chapter 50, Golden Ball waits for Spring Mustachio at a bar until Garou confronts him. They move to a nearby alley to fight, and despite Golden Ball's impressive skills, Garou manages to overpower him. As Garou tries to attack him, Spring Mustachio suddenly appears and attacks Garou. He tells Golden Ball that when he didn't see him at the bar, he was worried he forgot their drinking plans. Unfortunately for the heroes, Garou eventually defeats Spring Mustachio, and soon after, Golden Ball as well.
Psychic Sisters Arc[]
After Saitama leaves the Hero Association’s special internment facility to deal with Tatsumaki, Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio are briefly seen together with the other heroes.
Fanon[]
There isn’t much fan content of the ship due to Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball being more like “minor” supporting characters in the One Punch Man series, so their relationship isn’t as prominent as the relationship between the S-Class heroes or the main characters, Genos and Saitama. However, their friendly relationship is positively received in the fandom as they canonically seem to be friends, even though it’s not outright said in the canon story. As a rarepair ship it’s not as popular with people, but the shippers prefer them often from all other ships in the fandom – though there are some who also ship other characters and ships.
