Goldenrush is the slash ship between Kel and Mikhael from the Omori fandom

Canon

In The Real World, Mikhael is shown to see Kel as his rival while Kel usually humors him for a short while. The day that Sunny comes out of his house for the first time in 4 years, Kel is looking for Aubrey, as she stole Basil's Photo Album. They attempt to obtain her whereabouts from the Hooligans. After fighting Angel and Charlene, they come across Mikhael in the town plaza. Because of this, Kel is not as patient with Mikhael, getting into a fight with Mikhael and refusing to call him by his preferred name, "The Maverick", despite Mikhael promising to tell Kel Aubrey's location if Kel does. During the fight, one of Mikhael's possible attacks is to smile at Kel seductively, reducing his attack. After the fight, Mikhael still refuses to give Aubrey's location, and Kel convinces Sunny to leave Mikhael alone.

Later, Sunny and Kel come across Mikhael at Faraway Park. He then challenges Kel to a race. Kel decides to humour Mikhael and races him. Kel wins the race. Mikhael then challenges him to a rematch. However, Kel, noticing that he is out of breath, refuses. He instead reassures Mikhael, telling him that he did great.

A day later, Kel and Sunny come across Mikhael, along with the rest of the Hooligans, attempting to force Basil out of the Hangout Spot. Sunny and Kel then get into a fight with them. During this fight Mikhael may wink at Kel, reducing his damage. After the fight, Mikhael and the rest of the Hooligans, save for Aubrey, leave the Hangout Spot. Despite fighting each other several times, they aren't on bad terms. Kel believes that Mikhael, along with the rest of the Hooligans, are good-hearted people.

Fanon

Goldenrush is a popular Omori ship due to the ingame relationship between Kel and Mikhael. Most people like it for the "enemies to lovers" trope the ship has. The ship is largely overshadowed on Kel's end by Suntan, Baseball Bat, and Cactiflower. However, it does not have many rivals on Mikhael's end. This is largely due to how Mikhael isn't shipped very often. Notable rivals include Sunbleached, the ship between Mikhael and Bebe, Skill Issue and Melonbread. The ship currently has 16+ works in AO3. This makes it the Mikhael ship with the most works on AO3. There is also a decent amount of fanart of the ship.

The ship name most likely comes from Mikhael's Gold Colored wig and Kel's athletic personality.
