Goldenskar is the het ship between Skara and Hunter from The Owl House fandom.
Canon[]
Skara is an outgoing clumsy witch with a fondness of sports (strategy), social media, Ruler's Reach, and friendship. Hunter is a child soldier with minimal experience in regards to having friends close to his age. He struggles with socializing, believing that teens his age also love rules and following orders. He has an interest in wild magic.
In "Any Sport In a Storm", Hunter is first put-off by Skara, believing that she is weak and pathetic along with the rest of the Emerald Entrails. After, Skara helps Hunter get off the ground and explains why she was using the scroll for a while. It is then revealed that Skara is a master strategist, and her fondness of being on her scroll was due to her always researching the best sports strategies. Hunter tells Skara that those methods look difficult and complicated, which Skara doesn't deny. After playing and winning a match of flyer derby, Hunter realizes that people shouldn't be underestimated before getting to know them. The Emerald Entrails win a match, Skara is seen cheering Hunter choosing the name. Skara starts to sob when Hunter reveals the truth about his intentions, Skara punches Steve and Hunter asks her if she really had to.
Hunter tries to convince the group that the emperor coven has a lot of benefits, Skara tells him that none of them want this. Hunter later goes against Darius and defends Skara and the rest of the group.
In "Labyrinth Runners", Hunter trips and Skara (and Viney) helps him up. She tells him that this isn't an illusion and he is in the healing homeroom, Bump mentions how the flyer derby team were determined to save him and Skara smiles at him.
Fanon[]
The ship started prior to Hunter's name reveal in Hunting Palismen. In it's earlier stages in the fandom when Hunter's backstory and true character wasn't yet revealed, Skara was portrayed as being a friendly distraction to Hunter's golden guard duties as she would always wreck havoc in Bonesborough among her friends. Hunter (AKA the Golden Guard) was at the time portrayed as a confident and somewhat annoyed at Skara's antics.
After Hunter displays more vulnerable moments in the show the ships portrayal evolved into an extrovert adopts introvert ship, with Skara being the friendly, outgoing and overall party-goer and Hunter being the shy awkward teen with no experience making friends. They also share music together, as Skara is in the bard track and Hunter was shown whistling casually when he is calm. They also have complimenting color palettes (gold and red).
Fan works portray them more platonically than romantically. For instance, on AO3, the ship currently has over 25 works on the gen tag, while the romantic tag only has 2 works written.
