Golfcil is the femslash ship between Golf Ball and Pencil from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for Dream Island[]
In "Barriers and Pitfalls," Pencil declines to assist Tennis Ball and Golf Ball in getting over the rock wall since they aren't part of her team. Later, she mocks them, sarcastically thanking them for freeing Bubble while also falling out of the obstacle course.
In "Are You Smarter Than a Snowball?", Pencil doodles "GB is mean." In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3," Pencil looks nervous when Golf Ball questions their alliance about not helping. She tells Bubble that they shouldn't feel obligated to follow the ancient Book of BFDI Tips and Tricks, which was penned by Golf Ball. Pencil also points out that Golf Ball wouldn't know much since she got eliminated 8th.
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3," Pencil looks nervous when Golf Ball questions their alliance about not helping. In “Zeeky Boogy Doog", when Golf Ball tries to share their plan, Pencil gets upset, claiming it's just Golf Ball's plan and calls her bossy. Golf Ball, frustrated, tells her to leave and then has her incinerated.
In "Get in the Van," when Match starts to panic about being in the bottom two for elimination, Pencil reassures her, saying Golf Ball will be the one eliminated because she's "bossy." Later, as Golf Ball tries to get everyone to promise loyalty to her team, Pencil tells her she won't promise to stay and ultimately decides to break away from Team No-Name to create her own team.
In "No More Snow!", Pencil and Match laugh at Book when she thinks about rescuing Golf Ball, Tennis Ball, and Rocky from Evil Leafy.
In "It's a Monster," when Golf Ball tumbles into the FreeSmart Supervan, Pencil exclaims, "Oh my God, it's a monster!" and kicks her out.
In "Taste the Sweetness," when Golf Ball brings up past issues with her original teammates, Pencil rolls her eyes. She frowns when Golf Ball says she's in charge of marketing and casually calls her out for not giving herself a job.
In "Lots of Mud," Pencil calls Golf Ball "Bozo Buttface," and they bicker until the Puffball Speaker Box announces that they are both safe.
The Power of Two[]
In "Category One," when Golf Ball complains about new members joining the already-formed team, Pencil gets annoyed and pushes her aside. Later, Pencil is dismayed to discover that Golf Ball is part of her chosen team, CloudYAY.
In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!," Pencil brushes off Golf Ball's cries for help, just like the rest of her team. Later on, when CloudYAY gets caught in Golf Ball's drill and it goes haywire, Pencil takes a jab at Golf Ball, calling her invention terrible. This leads to Golf Ball firing back with a dig at Pencil's van, and they start rapidly slapping each other.
In “Seasonal Shift”, Golf Ball warns the contestants that time is breaking apart, in which Pencil calls Golf Ball a bossy bot and insists everything is fine, then advises her not to be so paranoid. Later, their team is sent to May 1st, 2010 back in time to the episode “Bridge Crossing” to rescue one of the failed debuters. When Pillow pushes everybody in the past of the bridge, Golf Ball panics and asks if this will have long-term effects. Pencil tells her to calm down and then leans on Golf Ball, reminding her that the challenge was to rescue the failed debuters from the past. CloudYAY is then sent to BFDI Mini, which takes place on September 10th, 2020, where they start fighting the BFDI Mini contestants after Pencil removed the instructions for their challenge. Pencil chases after Boom Mic, but before she can climb up the Eiffel Tower, Golf Ball tells her to get Boom Mic, then warns her that they can’t change or it might come back to get them. Once Boom Mic is returned, CloudYAY goes to July 24th, 2020, where BFB 22 takes place. They fight Blocky and Woody, and when Pillow kills Blocky and Woody, Golf Ball says to be more careful and that they seriously need to fix this. Frustrated, Pencil shouts at Golf Ball, telling her that they should go already. Once they are sent back, Golf Ball complains to the team that they need to stop damaging the past, in which Pencil gets mad at her. She rants about how TPOT is the only thing left for her, and how everyone she trusted has now left her. Pencil stops, then realizes that she can go back to the past. She runs to the Yoylite, and everyone tries to stop her. Golf Ball shouts and tells them all they have to be careful, but it’s too late. CloudYAY gets transported to January 1st, 2025, where the BFDI finale takes place. Golf Ball shouts at Pencil, saying that her rejoining TPOT was a mistake, then Pencil slaps her in response, insisting that someone will come and save them eventually. Pencil then tries to go onto Dream Island, but Pillow stops her, and they start fighting, then the team attempts to stop them. Pillow and Pencil continue to fight, leading to Firey letting Leafy into Dream Island. Golf Ball, shocked, asks if Leafy just got onto Dream Island, then tells them that they’ve done too much damage. The universe then begins to crumble. Once everything is back to normal and CloudYAY is transported back to the present, Pencil immediately blames what happened on Winner, and Golf Ball gives her a harsh glare.
