GoofPete is the slash ship between Goofy and Pete from the Mickey Mouse and Friends and Goof Troop fandoms.

In the Goof Troop universe and a few Mickeyverse related medias, Pete is presented as Goofy's neighbour. Pete sometimes finds himself getting caught up or injured whenever Goofy has one of his iconic "goofy" moments. Adding Goofy to Pete's list of those he dislikes and tries to give himself space away from him. Even though Pete's family are fond of Goofy and his son, Max, Pete sees them as a "bad influence."
A Goofy Movie[]
The movie takes place roughly six years after the Goof Troop series, Goofy and Pete are now coworkers, making professional photographs at the local mall. Since it's the first day of summer, Pete brags to Goofy that he and P.J. planned to go camping, telling him that a father is required to spend time with his son. Pete telling Goofy that a son who doesn't want to stay with his parents would likely become a criminal later has Goofy believe Max's principal calling to report Max's behaviour. What Max actually did was a harmless prank of dressing up as his favorite musician Powerline and turn a mandatory school assembly into a "concert", but the principal describes it in such a way that makes it sound like he led his fellow students into a revolt. Fearing that Max had already gone down the wrong path, Goofy tells Pete that he just decided he will go fishing with his son.
Once Goofy managed to drag Max along despite Max wanting to go the Powerline concert, the two arrive at a lake where they happen to find Pete showing off his massive RV. Though Max is more than happy to hang out with P.J., Goofy is mostly indifferent to the numerous luxuries Pete offers them and prefers to teach his son how to fish. Due to Goofy's clumsiness however, the hook gets attached to a massive steak Pete was trying to grill, leading to Bigfoot following the smell and threatening the two father-son duos. Pete takes P.J. into his RV, abandoning Goofy and Max to their fate.
When they manage to escape getting mauled by Bigfoot, Goofy and Max check in at a motel, only to hear what sounds like a policeman threatening them. But it was just Pete pranking them, he was just as surprised to see them here, having also checked into the same motel. However, when Max confesses to P.J. that he tricked his father into driving him to the concert by changing the route on their map while Goofy was sleeping, Pete happens to overhear him and plans to tell Goofy about it. During a hot tub session, Pete spills the beans to Goofy, but Goofy doesn't believe that Max would do such a thing. However, Goofy does check the map later, he is shocked that Pete spoke the truth and is starting to believe that Pete was correct when he told Goofy to "keep his son under his thumb".
After Goofy refused to speak to Max for a while until the latter realizes that his father found out about the ruse, the two make up after surviving one life-threatening scenario after another. Realizing how important the concert was to Max, Goofy agrees to take him there, even managing to get on stage and endear himself to Powerline. When Pete and his son see the concert in their RV, P.J. points at Goofy right as his father was about to take a swig from a can, spitting all over their expensive TV in disbelief that Goofy and Max actually made it to the concert.

Although the two are part of Disney's iconic and central characters, half of the ship's support was focused on the Goof Troop series. With the cartoon and Goofy film series having quite a few moments and screen time on Goofy and Pete.
Though the pairing always saw some level of support through fanart, it only received an influx of slashfic on AO3 during the mid-2020's.

- Both Goofy and Pete have key roles in the Kingdom Hearts series. Goofy is one of the main playable characters, while Pete serves as a recurring villain ever since KHII came out.
