Goron Lineage is the family ship between Daruk and Yunobo from The Legend of Zelda fandom.
Canon[]
Breath of the Wild[]
After the ghost of Daruk sets sights on Hyrule Castle where Calamity Ganon is still residing, he wonders how the Gorons are faring until he spies Yunobo staring up at him, which he punches the air happily that the Gorons are still thriving as Yunobo waves back, smiling, laughing, and cheering. One of Daruk's dialogues bring up Yunobo and tells him that he also used to be as quiet and timid as he was, to eat more rocks, and help out his brothers and he might be as strong as him.
Age of Calamity[]
As Daruk is on the verge of defeat by Fireblight Ganon, Terrako's Gate of Time brings Yunobo back and he uses a barrier to block off the attack which Daruk is confused that another Goron can use his power. Yunobo tries to explain himself but blocks another attack and assures him that he is here to help him. Eventually, the Gorons begin to struggle once again with Yunobo becoming scared of Fireblight Ganon until Daruk returns the favor, telling him to stay calm. Yunobo snaps out of his anxiety and realizes that he is here to save Daruk and help is able to arrive and together, they managed to kill Fireblight Ganon. Daruk takes the time to thank Link for coming for him and slaps him on the back making him jump forward while thanking Yunobo for saving his life and slapping his back which only made him flinch. When Sidon describes to Mipha that he came from the future, Daruk laughs it off before putting up a serious face to ask Zelda on the fate of Hyrule Castle. Both Yunobo and Daruk take their fight to protect the eastern side of Hyrule as Yunobo gushes at Daruk's prowess and calls him Great Daruk, though the latter tells him to drop the formalities as Yunobo tells him that he can't promise anything as they focus on destroying the enemy army and succeed. Daruk and Yunobo head to Kakariko Village to help drive off the monsters which they succeed, only to contend with Sooga and the Yiga Clan, though they managed to drive them away. As the townsfolk cheer for them, Daruk glances at Yunobo, who panics and refuses to take credit and reveals that used to be scared of everything which he isn't proud of until he met a certain friend who came into his life and helped him find courage to face adversity and still has a long way to go. Daruk happily takes Yunobo's hand and raises it up as the crowd cheers again and tells him that he is proud to have him as his descendant and to give his friend his regards if he meets with him again, which Yunobo smiles.
Daruk and Yunobo barely made it to Akkala Citadel when the Hyruleans were struggling to keep back the dark forces to provide much needed backup and eventually succeeded and they also helped Urbosa and Riju destroy monstrous reinforcements alongside the other Champions and their Divine Beasts. Purah later summons all armies across Hyrule to unite them to take back Hyrule Castle and despite Ganon trying to hold them back and giving them a harder time with the Blood Moon, the armies were able to push through, and they were eventually able to defeat Astor, Harbinger Ganon, and eventually Calamity Ganon once and for all. After that, Yunobo and the future warriors were being sent back to their time, as Daruk and Yunobo give their good-byes before the latter returns to his own time. In the secret DLC ending, Daruk and Yunobo were sitting at a cliff at Death Mountain eating their Rock Roasts and were later seen with the present and future Champions as Terrako entertains them.
Fanon[]
Goron Lineage is a rather uncommon ship amongst the fanbase though fanfics and fan art of the two of them do exist. Fans appreciate the bond between Daruk and Yunobo due to their complementary chemistry with Daruk being a confident brave stalwart while Yunobo is shy and cowardly at the slightest of things. This has Daruk telling him to stay calm no matter, what and to not let his fears get the best of him when he does feel afraid and when Yunobo beats himself up over the person he once was, Daruk assures him that he is still proud of the Goron is becoming which has Yunobo feeling better and by the climax, Yunobo is much braver without showing any sign of his timid nature. These scenes were also praised for how this development carried over into Tears of the Kingdom where Yunobo does not show any signs of his previous cowardice at all, even under the most extreme circumstances where he would have easily gotten paralyzed in fear and even starting his own mining company called YunoboCo, though his lack of Daruk's Protection in this game that he had in the previous games have garnered some criticism, as it was well known for being one of his main traits that mark his biological connection with the Goron Champion. Daruk and Yunobo are notable for their amazing teamwork during their fight for Hyrule's freedom from Calamity Ganon's tyrannical threat.
