In 2013, Warren and Nathan are both students at Blackwell Academy. On Monday, October 7th, following an altercation that Max Caulfield witnessed earlier in the day between Nathan and Chloe Price, Nathan storms up to her while she’s speaking with Warren. As Nathan steps closer to her, he pushes Warren away with one hand. The conversation becomes more heated, with Nathan getting in Max’s face, trying to intimidate her, forcing Warren to tell him to get away from her. At Warren’s intrusion, Nathan harshly headbutts him, knocking Warren to the ground. Nathan goes back for Max, physically assaulting her, when Chloe shows up in her truck. Despite the pain, Warren gets back up and tackles Nathan to the ground, yelling for Max to go, saying that he can handle Nathan.[1]
On Thursday, October 10th, Max sneaks into the boy’s dormitories to get into Nathan’s room. On her way out of the building, she and Chloe are confronted by Nathan. He begins to storm towards them when Warren shows up, stepping between Nathan and girls. Nathan yells for Warren to get out of his face, but Warren doesn’t waver. Paralleling their first fight, Warren harshly headbutts Nathan, knocking Nathan to the floor. Nathan yells that Warren is “so fucking dead,” pulling out his gun. Warren quickly reacts, kicking the gun out of Nathan’s hand. Warren proceeds to beat Nathan while he’s down. Player choice, Max has the option to stop Warren before things get too out of hand, or let him whale on Nathan for a prolong period of time.
If Max chooses not to intervene, Warren will beat Nathan down, mockingly questioning that Nathan “likes to hurt people,” while also telling him to “feel this”. Nathan tells Warren to get off of him, as well as begging him to stop the assault, saying he’s sorry. Eventually Warren will get off of Nathan, leaving his face a bloodied mess. If Max chooses to stop Warren, Nathan will get up and limp for his dorm room, yelling that all three of them are dead and that they’re all “fucked”.[2]

Grahamscott is a notable ship within the Life is Strange fandom. The fandom is dominated by femslash ships, to which Grahamscott is the most popular slash ship. Warren and Nathan are the two most prominent male characters (excluding the series antagonist Mark Jefferson) who are close in age, sharing the most established dynamic.
Due to the heavy themes that Life is Strange is known for, mental health and other forms of recovery are common within Grahamscott works. Because of Nathan suffering through arguably the worse of it, fan works often have Nathan developing a peace in Warren as he is helped to work through his trauma. In other works, it’s not too uncommon to have either Warren or Nathan become one who gets Max Caulfield’s time manipulation powers, with the other becoming their partner in crime.
