Grandpa Itadori is the family ship between Yuji Itadori and Wasuke Itadori from the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom.
Canon[]
Yuji and Wasuke have not interacted much in the series, as Wasuke died in the first chapter of the manga.
2003[]
When Yuji was born, Wasuke was shown disapproving of his son's relationship with his wife and Yuji's mother, Kaori. He knew that his son deeply desired a child but did not approve of the child's mother.

Fearsome Womb Arc[]
As Kaori and Jin died, it can be assumed that Yuji's grandfather took care of him as Yuji tells his friend Sasaki that Wasuke was like a father to him. Yuji cared deeply for his grandfather, and would visit him regularly at the hospital. Visiting his grandfather is why Yuji chose to enlist in the Occult Club as he could leave early. Yuji is shown bringing flowers to his grandfather's hospital room. Wasuke is not happy about Yuji visiting him, as he doesn't want his grandson to waste his time for him.
Before he died, Wasuke attempted to reveal something to Yuji about his parents. However, Yuji refuses to hear what he has to say and tells him to "stop acting cool" in front of him. Wasuke proceeds to tell Yuji that he is a "strong kid" and that he should help people if he can. As he is about to die alone, apart from Yuji, he tells Yuji to die surrounded by others, and to not be like him. Yuji then realises that his grandfather has died and holds back tears before calling the front desk to report his death to the hospital. Yuji then packs up his things and goes to the front desk to fill out paperwork about his grandfather. Yuji tells the desk worker that it is the first death he has witnessed someone's death but that his grandfather would be mad if he saw him moping around because of it. He tells her that he'll have to laugh while burning him up.
Megumi Fushiguro brings Yuji back at his school to find the stolen Sukuna finger. Before joining the fight, Yuji ponders if he is scared of death and if his grandfather was scared to die. He tells himself that his grandfather probably wasn't scared and Yuji says that he cried when Wasuke died because he was sad, not because he was scared. Yuji wonders how the death his grandfather faced and the death he is facing now are different. He then remembers his grandfather's words to help people and joins the fight against the cursed spirits.
After that night, Yuji travels to the morgue to collect his grandfather's ashes. Now at the cemetery, Yuji has a talk with Satoru Gojo and before accepting to eat a second Sukuna finger, he remembers his grandfather's words and accepts to become a jujutsu sorcerer to help people. Yuji thinks that his grandfather's last request is troublesome but he will eat the rest of Sukuna's fingers to fulfill his last wish for him to die surrounded by others. Before leaving to go to Tokyo Jujutsu High, Yuji prays for his grandfather and says his final goodbye to him.
When meeting with principal Masamichi Yaga, Yuji tells him he wants to become a jujutsu sorcerer to fulfill his grandfather's request and to help people.
