Greasevolta is the non-binary ship between Greaseball and Volta from the Starlight Express fandom.

Bochum 2013-2018[]
Volta shows up with the other components and Electra when Greaseball stops them from continuing their posturing. Volta initially goes with Electra and the components at first as they watch Greaseball flirt and show off for the coaches during "Pumping Iron". However, he calls herself, Joule and Wrench over and they do so. Joining the coaches in dancing back up for him. The girls all get to the ground and Greaseball skates between Volta and Joule to get to the other side of them. Having them all to the ground he kicks them down face first, including Volta, but this doesn't seem to negate her attraction to him. Instead joining the other girls when they all line up to take turns dancing with Greaseball. She Joule both going on opposite sides of him and showing off. Ending with them both running their hands down his legs, and him slapping their rears before they get back in line with others. Volta then joins the other girls as they all gather around him for the finale of the song. Fawning and swooning over him as he shows off his muscles.

Greasevolta is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Aside from the two not having any significant interactions within the show, both are often shipped with other characters. With the main rival pairings being GreaseDinah, Greased Lightning, Electronents and Frozen Lightning. None of the versions of the pair seem to be more popular than the others. With fans shipping male or female versions of the characters with each other about as much as any other. The ship is sometimes a background element in fics for those that ship Greaseball with Electra, and by extension their components.
Some fans do ship them for aesthetic reasons. As some feel like Volta's design would match well with Greaseball's. Volta's light blue's and blacks contrasting with Greaseball's black and gold. Others do like the Volta still got to be attracted to Greaseball even when the character was switched from female to male for the Bochum revamp. As it allowed for some more explicit queer male representation in the show.
