Before the start of the race, Greaseball quickly makes a deal with CB, who partners with Turnov for the first heat. During that heat, Greaseball tells CB when to take out Turnov, and then when to take out Manga. Allowing Greaseball to place in the finals. Later, while the trains are hyping up before the big race, Greaseball calls over CB. He asks if they have a deal, and CB tells him that if he makes good with 10K, he'll make sure there's a nice crash.
CB finds Greaseball later, and tells him that he'll be making sure Greaseball wins. Greaseball says that he'll be doing that no matter what, but CB tells him that Rusty can actually go fast, which wasn't clear till now. He says that the steamer could be a threat, and Greaseball says that he's listening. CB plans to make Rusty fly off the track, which Greaseball likes the idea of. CB says that he's sick of his good act and likes to be bad, Greaseball telling him to remember whose side he's on. Greaseball then skates away and CB says that he's on his own side.
During the final race, Rusty seems like he's about to win, when Greaseball calls on CB. CB then causes Rusty to crash, playing dumb as Greaseball and the other trains insult Rusty. As well as essentially revealing his betrayal when he turns his back on Greaseball's gang beating on Rusty.

Greaseybrakes is a common ship in the StEx fandom. With most fans coming from earlier productions. Some fans prefer Greaseball ending up with CB than any other character due to them working together throughout the show. In turn making them have many scenes together which make is very shippable for some. The ship is often rivaled by GreaseDinah, Electraboose and Rusted Brakes. On AO3, Greaseybrakes is the fourth most written ship for both Greaseball and CB. There are currently 10+ written works.
