Grimleficent is the femslash between the Evil Queen and Maleficent from the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Sleeping Beauty fandoms.

Canon

Queen Grimhilde and Maleficent are both classic Disney villains, having crossed paths many times. They both curse their respective heroines with a sleeping spell. However, while Maleficent is a fairy with inert magic, the Evil Queen is a mere mortal who uses alchemy for her magic. They have similar designs with primarily purple and black color schemes and cowls that hide their hair.

Within the Descendants canon, the Evil Queen is one of Maleficent's friends and they had raised their respective children together. However, Maleficent is frequently shown to be annoyed at her friends' excessive bickering with each other. Because Maleficent struggles to use modern technology, the Evil Queen and their two other friends have to help her with them. When they were sent to the island, Maleficent was able to hang into her staff and spell book, while the Evil Queen managed to save a shard of her magic mirror. Because Maleficent kept the book in the fridge, the Evil Queen had to help her open it. So the book can be given to Mal, and Maleficent has the Evil Queen give her hand mirror to Evie. Wanting their daughters to use those item to aid them in obtaining the Fairy Godmother's magic wand.

Grimleficent is a crossover ship between two of Disney's classic villains. People feeling that the two have a similar energy, and the number of Disney crossover medias they have appeared in together, has helped the ship to gain a few supporters. From how rare most cross ships tend to be, even if the characters in the ship have appeared in the same franchise.

Some Once Upon A Time fans have viewed Dragon Queen as the OUAT counterpart of the Disney ship and that they should be considered as one ship. Much like with Sea Dragon, Sleeping Warrior, and other OUAT ships between Disney based characters. The series having two Evil Queens and Regina Mills being a combination of multiple characters than just the Evil Queen alone, however, has another group place Grimleficent and Dragon Queen as two separate ships. Although, there have been those who have shipped Maleficent with the Dark (second) Evil Queen, and the OUAT fanbase were the ones to come up with the ship's alternate "Grimleficent" title. Giving Grimleficent a place in the OUAT fandom than just the Disney crossover fandom alone.

With both Aurora and Snow White as Princesses of Heart, it got some Kingdom Hearts fans to wonder why Maleficent didn't have the Evil Queen join her Council of Disney Villains. At first they assumed that Maleficent didn't think she was worthy to join them or the Queen had fell to the darkness, before the events of the first game. Until Birth By Sleep was released and assume that she may have perished like she did in the original film. Preventing their KH counterparts from ever meeting when Maleficent began to travel between worlds.

In the fan made Disney Villain Patreon/YouTube series by PattyCake Productions, The Villains Lair, the Evil Queen revived Maleficent so she would help her resurrect the other villains, and then have them join the two in the Evil Queen's master plan for revenge. This got the Evil Queen to think that she'll be able to keep the Mistress of all Evil in duet to her, but Maleficent doesn't hesitate to show cheek towards the Queen. While playing the role of a follower than leader under the Queen. The two were also in duet to Ursula, on separate occasions before the events of the series, and since the other villains weren't fund of the sea witch either, they cast a spell to seal Ursula away. Episodes four and five of season two hints that Maleficent may plan to double cross the Evil Queen, who has become suspicious of her after Maleficent offered to fetch the Black Cauldron. Since Maleficent never volunteered for anything, but she simply replies with a quote that the Queen has said; "If you want something done right, do it yourself." With Ursula and Dr. Facilier against them, Jafar advices that the Queen to either apologies to Maleficent for their fight or keeps an eye on her. After all, Maleficent is the type of villain who would rather be leader than serve under one.
