Guilnelia is the het ship between Cornelia li Britannia and Gilbert G.P. Guilford from the Code Geass fandom.
Canon[]
The two of them have quite a few moments in the original series, that supports the theory of them either already having an established relationship or developing one later on. Although this was never officially confirmed, because the series does not explain their dynamic any further than them being Princess and Knight.
First Season (R1)[]
Both make their first appearance in episode 5 of the first season. From the beginning on it is very clear that Guilford is, as her personal knight, extremely loyal to Cornelia, as he always fights alongside her and gets protective of his princess. In the battle of Narita (ep10-11) as soon as the britannian troops start their mission Guilford asks Cornelia to stand back. Much to her distaste, Cornelia does not wish to be treated like the typical britannian noblewoman. These instances happen a few times throughout the show, Guilford trying to tell Cornelia to back down, only for her to fight regardless (ep13, ep22) . Nevertheless she still appreciates him and has a lot of trust in her knight. When it looks like Cornelia is not going to make it (again in Narita), she asks him to take care of her beloved sister Euphemia. Other instances for this would be during the Black Rebellion.
Second Season (R2)[]
After Cornelias disappearance in R2, Guilford is worried sick but for some reason does not actively search for her. Later during the season (ep18), under the influence of Lelouchs Geass, which makes him believe that Lelouch is Cornelia, Guilford saves Lelouch from Prince Schneizel. This proves ultimately that he is not loyal to the Holy Britannian Empire, but to his Princess, even if that means betraying Britannia. Towards the end of the show, the two of them meet again in a hospital room, after Cornelia has been shot by Schneizel and Guilford has been partially blinded by F.L.E.I.J.A. This results in a scene of them holding hands. At this point Cornelia has been abandoning her title as the second princess of Britannia, meaning that as a result Guilford technically is no longer her knight. However he still calls her "Princess" and they both stay together as Lelouch takes over the world. The both of them join a resistance army against the Zero Requiem as well.
Alternate Timeline/Spin-offs[]
Lelouch of the Re;surrection[]
In Resurrection Cornelia and Guilford are still working together. They are seen attending Oghi and Vilettas wedding together. There Schneizel mentions to Cornelia that he'd like to be the guest of her own wedding sometime, which she finds to be ridicoulus. After collaborating with Lelouch to rescue Nunally, Cornelias forces end up fighting against Bolovona Forgnar. She is willing to take him on on her own, but Guilford insists on accompanying her, so he does.
Rozé of the Recapture[]
While Cornelia herself plays a vital role in Rozé of the Recapture, she is only seen once with Guilford during episode 9. They both travel together to Lady Kaguya, Guilford seemingly following Cornelia once again. Apart from that they have no interaction or scenes together.
Other Code Geass media[]
Code Geass: Lost Stories (mobile game)[]
In the game each Guilford and Cornelia have multiple voice lines about each other, once you set them as your assistant on the homescreen. Cornelias resurrection and birthday version (2025) mentions that they are both still going together everywhere, despite them having different ranks now.
Code Geass Light Novels (R1)[]
During a conversation between Darlton and Guilford, Darlton recalls that before Guilford became her personal knight, Cornelia did not even want a knight, as she saw it as completely unnecessary. This suggest that she must've changed her mind at one point, but it's never properly explained how the two of them met.
Code Geass Love Map[]
For the second season the creators released an official relationship chart. Unfortunately unlike other pairings in the show like Chiba and Tohdoh, Cornelia and Guilford did not get a heart, suggesting that at the point of creation they are not seen as a couple and share a more professional relationship. This however goes only for the second season, as it is unclear as to wether or not something developed after that. That is why a possible romantic relationship is up to interpretation, as it is only implied but never officially confirmed.

Fanon[]
Guilnelia is a classic ship in the fandom that has basically existed, ever since Code Geass was created. Although it was never particularly popular, unlike other ships, it is usually the first choice for a ship with Guilford. This is probably due to his very obvious admiration for Cornelia.
Guilford is generally viewed as the more submissive part in the relationship, because of his position as Cornelias subordinate and the fact that he just follows and bends to her will. He stays very professional and overly polite, leading many to think that he's uptight and easily flustered, especially when it comes to his Princess.
Cornelia is usually believed to take the lead, partly because she is a rather stern woman and commander. Though the fandom is still discussing wether or not she returns Guilfords affections in a romantic way, it is generally believed that she holds a deep appreciation and trust for him.
