Haibume is the het ship between Hairo and Ubume from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Canon[]
Hairo and Ubume both are demons who serve under Muzan. The two of them used to be part of the Twelve Kizuki. Ubume was lower rank 1, while Hairo was lower rank 2. Since they both used to be part of the lower ranks, the two would have been present at lower rank meetings. It is however unknown whether or not Ubume and Hairo interacted with each other in those meetings.
At some point the two faced off against the current Flame hashira and Wind hashira respectively. When their respective battles took place both Sanemi and Kyojuro did not hold the title of hashira yet. Ubume fought against Sanemi Shinazugawa, while Hairo fought against Kyojuro Rengoku. Eventually both Hairo and Ubume lost their respective battles against Sanemi and Kyojuro. Since they lost and were killed, both of their enemies gained the title of Hashira.
Both Hairo and Ubume are the only other known former lower ranks, besides Kyogai.
Ubume and Hairo don’t make an appearance in the anime itself. Since Hairo is only present in the spin-off manga called: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Stories of Water and Flame. While Ubume is only present in the third light novel: Signs of the Wind and is just briefly mentioned in the manga.

Haibume is a rather unknown ship in the fandom. This is due to the fact that they both are rather unknown characters. As well as the fact that the two aren’t shown together. It is also unknown if the two have interacted with each other prior to the beginning of the story. However some people do believe that the two might have interacted with each other during lower rank meetings, since both were part of the lower ranks. With this fans of the ship tend to believe that the two might have been acquainted with each other or maybe even friends. Despite the ship being rather unknown, it still has a small fanbase.
The ship itself is the most popular ship for Ubume and Hairo, since they don’t have many ships at all. People started to ship these two together, due to them mostly being left out and thus not having many other ships at all. Fans of the ship also tend to pair them together, due to the fact that both Ubume and Hairo are the only other known former lower ranks in the series besides Kyogai.
