Hanji is the het ship between Hannah Roxas and Benji Hattori from the Disventure Camp fandom.
Canon[]
In the opening sequence, Benji and Hannah are seen chatting until Amelie approaches, holding heavy logs and handing them to a struggling Benji. Amelie is too busy talking to Hannah to notice. Hannah's expression turns irritated until Benji's fall surprises them.
Come One, Come All[]
Benji and Hannah are put on the Red Team alongside, Amelie, Ivy, Zaid, Spencer, Diego, Jade, and Tristan. After a fight nearly breaks out between Hannah and Amelie after the former questions who put the latter in charge of the team, Benji immediately stops the conflict by convincing that Diego should lead as he's the most experienced with nature. After Benji's help, Hannah thanks him for it and says she's glad that he has a good head on his shoulders. Benji agrees and replies "I'm all about giving good head." His fumbled words end up in Hannah leaving in discomfort, leaving Benji with a sad expression. In the confessional, Hannah states that she spoke that too soon.
Hot Mess Express[]
When the others are discussing Blue Team's elimination while doing yoga, Diego advices Hannah to not get too cocky which Benji makes a joke out of which Amelie isn't amused at in the slightest, he then looks at Hannah and Diego for validation which they both also look unamused by. After Benji admits that his father calls him immature, Hannah asks him what he does for a living again, to which he replies that he is a law student. Hannah is shocked to hear this and asks him more questions about his law career, but Benji points out that he barely passed the LSAT.
After losing the challenge, Hannah eavesdrops on everyone else talking about voting Amelie out and decides to go after Benji. Hannah asks Benji if Jade and Spencer talked to him and Benji says they didn't. Hannah then recruits Benji to vote with her and Amelie to vote Spencer out. Benji questions why she voted for him and Hannah says that he cost her the challenge and that he is spreading her ally's name to everyone. Benji then joins Hannah in voting, but Amelie ends up being eliminated anyway.
Jumping the String[]
During the return after the Red Team's first elimination ceremony in which Amelie was eliminated, Hannah shows a look of sadness about it and Benji seems to show pity for her on his. When talking about voting for Spencer with Ivy, Benji tells her that he only did it at Hannah's request. In the confessional, Benji says he thought Hannah had enough votes to take out Spencer and let him come out on top.
Husk-Court Line[]
After the challenge, Benji is talking to Hannah about spending the whole day making a fake Immunity Totem and shows it to her, with Hannah stating that he wasted his time with that. Hannah also says that it looks goofy as hell and asks him to tell her that he didn't show it to anyone. Benji then says that he showed it to Zaid and Ivy and thinks that they might have bought it, something that makes Hannah feel like their chance of making a real-looking idol is wasted. In the confessional, Hannah says that she and Benji are screwed and that all she can do is hope that Benji leaves first so that she can decide what to do the next day. After being amused by a joke from Tristan when Benji and Hannah are discussing the vote with the Vibe Tribe, at one point, Ivy starts making jokes again about his fake Immunity Totem, something that makes Hannah feel sorry for him by comforting him and even gives Ivy a disapproving look.
Tough Act to Follow[]
After Diego's elimination, Benji comments how they were on the wrong side of the vote yet again. Hannah recognises how she's lost Diego now as well which she's annoyed by. Benji accepts that they're screwed but Hannah rejects the idea. Benji asks if she has any tricks up her sleeve, which Hannah responds that she does and Hannah expresses an idea about listening to others and making connections. She tells Benji that people just want to feel heard and that they have to get out there. The two separate just as Jade walks over to Benji. He follows her advice and believes hearing people out is easy. Meanwhile, Hannah does the same with Tristan.
During the musical challenge, Benji and Hannah are in the same group alongside Jade and Tristan as they make a song together. The duo continue building connections and together perform in I Don't Care, at one point they sing a part of the chorus together. They celebrate together when they get a good score, but oppositely she comforts him with a hand on the shoulder when the team ultimately loses. After the challenge, the four return to their base and are clearly having a good time, joking on the fun they've had together.
Taking the Line[]
After Red Team loses their challenge, in the tent, Benji approaches Hannah alongside Jade for them to make amends with each other, causing Hannah and Jade to come to an understanding and start working together. Benji and Hannah vote for Spencer again at the elimination ceremony as part of their plan, but it fails once again when Spencer throws an Immunity Totem and Tristan gets eliminated with Spencer's single vote.
Rocking the Boat[]
Following the events of Tristan's elimination, Benji goes up to Hannah to cheer her up, but she expresses how upset she is about having been played by Spencer again. Benji reminds her that Spencer played him too, but Hannah teases Benji about how people expect that of him to fall for such schemes. Benji gets thrown off guard by her statement and tells Hannah to chill, and she giggles before getting to the point about wanting to vote for Spencer again at the team's next elimination ceremony. This leads Benji to ask Hannah if she trusts Jade, and Hannah questions about whether Benji and Jade were friends. Benji excuses that it's nothing and to ignore him. Jade arrives right before Benji and Hannah can converse further. Jade's handshake with Hannah worries Benji this time, as they agreed to work against Ivy and Zaid.
During the rafting challenge, Hannah worries that Ivy is really sabotaging the Red Team which Benji hoping that she isn't. . When Derek and Trevor announce the team swap twist, Benji and Hannah whisper about whether they wished to switch targets, the latter advising they should just vote for Spencer as they originally planned. The two manage to successfully vote Spencer off their team that night.
Going in Circles[]
For the carousel challenge, as Benji starts advising his teammates to choose their seats on the carousel based on the size of their butts, Hannah simply gives an unamused glance, but she is saddened too when Benji isn't taken seriously by the other members of the Red Team. In her following confessional, Hannah admits to only beginning her alliance with Benji out of desperation, but that she's started to view him as her "ride or die" and that she cares about him, she decides she needs to start helping Benji improve his social skills and help him go from "zero to hero".
Appetite for Destruction[]
In the morning, Hannah appears doubtful about Benji's claim that Jade, Isabel, and Spencer were working together in some sort of way and points out that people make alliances all the time, but he tells her that she needs to let him cook. Hannah remains him that he made a comment about Zaid's having a "dump-truck ass" last time she let him cook, Benji expresses that he wasn't wrong to think so but Hannah replies annoyed how that's not the point. Benji gets emotional and confesses Hannah that he's really trying. She puts a comforting hand on his shoulder and advises him that maybe it's time they both need to change up the way they approach the game. Hannah admits in her following confessional that her plan to to go "Pretty Woman" on Benji is because she cares about him, but knows that she needs to think strategically and notes that she's screwed if Benji becomes a liability.
During the pie cooking challenge, Hannah helps treat Benji's hurt finger after he accidentally hit himself with a roller. And at one point, Hannah (literally) pushes Benji to talk to Zaid, he expresses that he's been there with "babe trouble" which Hannah simply facepalms at, but Benji goes on to apologize for the events of the previous episode and even gives Zaid advice about Ivy. After the conversation between the boys ends, Hannah approaches Benji and gives him a friendly punch on the shoulder. She expresses that while she has a few notes, she's proud with his success in making amends with Zaid. In a confessional, Hannah admits that she didn't expect the conversation to go as well as it did, but heartfully expresses that Benji is a good person and thanks to this, Hannah believes that her and Benji might still have a chance in the game.
Poles Apart[]
In the confessional, when citing his friendship with Hannah and his progress in the game, Benji thinks that the only step left for him is to convince Hannah to target Jade. And in another confessional, Hannah reveals that she is starting to prepare herself in case Benji's claim about Jade is true.
Elephant in the Corner[]
In the middle of the conversation with Isabel and Jade, Hannah notices Benji running away from bees and walks over to him. Later, Ivy tries to persuade Hannah to turn to her alliance and Benji tries to help, but Hannah thinks otherwise saying in her confessional that her and Benji's best chances are with Jade and Isabel. Later on, Hannah and Benji are seen sitting down with a drawing of the Red Team to discuss strategy, while Benji questions why she drew his ears so big, which Hannah admits that she's not an artist. Benji begins to express his distrust of Jade, yet Hannah advices him to stop being suspicious of them. Benji however, decides that sticking with Ivy and Zaid is the smartest decision. Hannah encourages him to think critically about the consequences of the alliance after the merge. Benji nervously expresses that Hannah sounds like his parents, which Hannah gives a look of sympathy for. Benji then points out that Hannah's confidence would be appreciated by his parents, and assumes that she excelled in school, but she reveals that she was terrible and has been punished by her grandfather for skipping school every weekend. They laugh about their experiences of punishment, Hannah recognizes her grandfather's strictness, but also his understanding and giving her freedom to choose her own path. Hannah encourages Benji to find his true calling someday.
In the challenge, after Hannah climbs onto the elephant to get the planks, Zaid devises a plan to distract the elephant while Benji helps Hannah off. After the elephant crashes into the bleachers, Hannah falls off, but Benji saves her with Hannah landing on top of him, injuring himself in the process. She giggles and playfully praises him by calling him "my hero". When Ivy and Zaid offer to fire the canon, Hannah says it will be an easy vote if Ivy and Zaid lose the team challenge, Benji shows a worried expression.
After losing the challenge, Hannah's alliance argues over who to eliminate. Benji doesn't want Zaid, but in the end, Hannah reminds him that it's a million-dollar game and he's reluctant. In the confessional, Benji admits that he wants to convince Hannah about the vote personally. At camp, he asks why Hannah would rather eliminate Zaid than Jade. She explains that Jade is strong in the game and that they've tried to remove her before, so it's time to act too. Benji accuses Hannah of being the pawn, but she says she doesn't want to lose another friend. Ivy interrupts with a proposal for an alliance, and as she leaves, Benji asks Hannah is she's convinced to keep Zaid which she confirms that she is. Hannah cautiously asks that if he would support her if she made her own move, which Benji simply replies "Always." but when gets nervous about what she's implying. During the vote, both decide to vote against Ivy, with a look of fear on their faces. After the elimination, Zaid tries to reprimand Benji, but Hannah takes the blame for him. Soon after, both exchange looks of remorse.
In Deep Water[]
After Ivy's elimination in the previous episode, Benji tries to make things right with Zaid before Hannah comes up behind to tell to let him go and that Zaid needed time to recover. Benji states in a confessional how Hannah trusted him long before Zaid entered the picture, being a social economy that made him feel awful. In the morning, when Trevor announces the merge and pyjamas, Hannah and Benji are seen joyfuly hugging each other about the news. For the challenge, Benji and Hannah seal each other as partners with a high five. Hannah jumps on the boat, following by Benji jumping on but nearly falls off the raft, luckily Hannah catches Benji just in time. After deciding the roles in the challenge, Benji asks if Hannah has a plan, Hannah advices him to just follow her instructions. Benji admits that he's not the best swimmer, Hannah confirms that he'll probably he better that her, she then comments on how cute he looks in the helmet. When she asks if she trusts him, he says yes, but she pushes him into the water. In a confessional, Benji says that he trusts Hannah, but would like to trust each other.
After interacting with Natalia about the proposal of a Girls' alliance, Hannah is very happy about it in her confessional since it could keep her and Benji safe until the final six. Upon reaching a two way path, Benji questions which route he should take. Hannah recommends that he take the left path, thinking it would avoid danger. However, Benji rejects the suggestion and opts for the right path, confidently stating that he is capable of following it. During the fight for the chest, Benji observes and warns Hannah about it, to which she orders him to wait for the others at the cave door until they are tired. And after Logan's low oxygen incident at the bottom of the water, Benji swims to the surface to help him, but arrives when he had already been saved much to his disappointment, which makes Hannah giggle at his failed attempt. During the girls' discussion about who to vote for that night, Hannah claims that she can convince Benji to vote with them and skip the tiebreaker because of Zaid's anger towards him, claiming that Benji will be helpful. In contrast, at the end of the boys' meeting about who to vote for that night, Benji states that he won't vote for Hannah under any circumstances.
Later, at the shelter, Benji and Hannah are seen playing a fun Japanese game together that's meant to mimic the art of making mochi. When Isabel approaches to confirm Zaid as the target and notices Benji upset, Hannah comforts him, stating that it's time. At the elimination ceremony, all the campers cast their votes, and in a turn of events, Benji is eliminated in a 4-3-3 vote, which greatly upsetting Hannah asking what Benji ever did to any of them, while Benji tries to calm her down. While Hannah goes on to berate Jade for going behind her back, Benji finally stops her and advices her not to ruin her game, Hannah excuses how she doesn't care but Benji insists that she does. Hannah admits that she should've listened to him about Jade and Isabel which Benji claims that she should have, but also believes that she needs to move forward. Benji acknowledges that he has become great friends with Hannah during the competition and considers her a sister. Initially scared, Hannah ends up hugging Benji and sees him as her best friend and big brother. After waving goodbye to Benji as he leaves, Hannah starts to cry again and asks in her confessional how she can stop losing everyone she cares about.
Fright Night[]
During the return trip to camp, Hannah still shows disappointment and anger towards the people who eliminated Benji until Natalia tries to comfort her. The next morning, Hannah is the first to wake up, still upset about the loss of her friend, but begins to recover after Natalia motivates her about the game and makes her understand that it could have been worse for her friendship with Benji.
Up in the Air[]
When choosing partners for the comeback challenge, Hannah is shocked to see Jade choosing Benji. The pair share an excited look before they head off to the challenge. Later, Benji gets distracted and misses one of the targets with his dart due to his concern for Hannah on the tightrope next to Amelie. Later that night, after the challenge, Hannah runs up to Benji and melodramatically lets herself fall for him to catch her, she then jokingly urges him to not leave him again Benji comments how it's hard being a "heartthrob", which makes Hannah giggle and break character. Seeing Hannah laugh, Benji asks her to keep her smile and win the for him, giving her one last hug before he leaves for the Losers Motel.
