Harcissa is the het ship between Harry Potter and Narcissa Malfoy from the Harry Potter fandom.
Canon[]
Harry held Narcissa in contempt due to his rivalry with her son, Draco Malfoy, and hatred of her husband, Lucius Malfoy. In the same respect, Narcissa held Harry and his friends in disdain and contempt, especially Hermione Granger, as she was Muggle-born, and Ron Weasley, as he was a blood traitor. Narcissa also held Harry in contempt for being Dumbledore's favourite student and associating with those whom she considered to be inferior.
In Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Harry pretends to be dead in front of everyone. Narcissa goes to see if he was dead or alive, Harry made a movement. Narcissa then knew he was alive, and asks Harry about her son. Harry confirms that Draco is all right, which causes Narcissa to lie to Voldemort and the other Death Eaters and tell them that Harry is dead.
They carry back Harry to Hogwarts and everyone is shocked that he is "dead". Eventually, Harry stops faking his death and the battle continues, where Narcissa can be seen in the background.
Fanon[]
Harcissa is a rarepair in the fandom. The ship is overshadowed by Hinny and Lucissa, which are the more popular ships for the two. Fans also like to ship Harry with Narcissa's son. Another reason why people don’t ship this is because of the age difference, Harry being 25 years younger than her. Though, some fans support it, considering the fact that Narcissa lied about that he was dead to save him. Fans of the ship admire that. Others, however, realize that Narcissa lied for her own selfish reasons; namely, to protext her own son. Still, some people like to see Narcissa as a mother figure to Harry for these reasons. This mother figure aspect is expanded upon further in Drarry fanworks, where she becomes Harry's mother-in-law.
Harcissa fans like to make AUs where Harry is aged up to Narcissa's age or where Narcissa is a Hogwarts student around Harry's age.
