Haruemu is the femslash ship between Haruka Kiritani and Emu Ootori from the Project SEKAI fandom.
Canon[]
Haruka and Emu are second-year students at Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy. Although they're in different classes, they got to know each other through the Sports Festival Executive Committee.
Run! Sports Festival! Committee Rush[]
The two first interact in Chapter 2 in the first Sports Festival Executive Committee meeting after Emu voices her dissatisfaction over the Sports Festival not having any fun ideas or events. She quickly sees Minori in her after Emu says everyone will be more energized and happy after participating in excitingg event. The other committee members turn her idea down, trying justify it with a "they won't have enough time because the committee is so small this year", and Haruka chimes in saying she agrees with Emu's idea. Haruka suggests they revive some old events and also comes up with a logical plan. One of the committee members agrees and Haruka assures she and Emu will come up with ideas before the next meeting. Emu becomes even more excited after Saki and Haruka agree to help her out and she blurts out her Wonderhoy☆ catchphrase. In Chapter 3, the two explore and go through the gymnasium's storeroom in order to find all the necessary equipment.
In Emu's first side story, a few days later, Haruka and Emu are shown celebrating the success of the Sports Festival in the courtyard. Emu comments that even juice tastes better when you're celebrating and Haruka laughs and suggests they start eating. Emu wonders if Saki is spending lunchtime with everyone in Leo/need and when Haruka mentions she wanted her to celebrate it with them as well, Emu suggests she'll invite Saki when she's free. Haruka reminisces how fun the sports festival was and how memorable it was to pass the baton to Emu. Emu agrees with her, saying she still feels like the baton was just in her hand a second ago and then talks about her three-legged race with Mafuyu. Haruka mentions her classmate told her Emu is in multiple sports clubs, and when the latter lists them all, Haruka leads up asking if she ever were in sports clubs outside of school. Emu mentions she was always hanging out at Phoenix Wonderland and then wonders if re-enacting all the shows she liked counted as exercise. Haruka is surprised to hear that and when Emu mentions her grandfather founded PXL, Haruka realizes she is from the Ootori family. Emu proceeds to tell her about the times she'd try to copy acrobatics from the other stages' shows and how she practiced them with the mascot-wearing person who is always around her. Haruka then shows Emu her Phenny keychain and mentions she bought it because it looks like a penguin. Emu then makes Haruka laugh and adore Phenny even more after telling her "Phenny Trivia", and then tells her she's welcome at Phoenix Wonderland anytime.
Haruka's Birthday Card[]
After Ichika, Saki and Haruka's other classmates host a birthday surprise for Haruka, Emu happens to come along and enthusiastically asks if it's Haruka's birthday. She gives Haruka the sweets she had planned to eat as a snack later, and Haruka thanks her but also asks if it's really fine. Emu assures her she's got more in her bag so it's not a big deal. Haruka thanks her again and tells her she'll eat them later, and Emu responds with a smile. In the second side story, Emu tells her hosting the sports festival with her was tons of fun and that they should host something like that again in the future.

Haruemu is a rarepair. It is mostly rivaled by Minoharu and Emunene, Haruka and Emu's most popular ships respectively. Haruemu is also rivaled by other, smaller ships like Emukasa and Anharu. There are currently less than 10 works on AO3. On Pixiv, there's currently 1+ artwork for the two, but there is more art for the two on other platforms such as Twitter.
