Season 5[]
SLAY ANYTHING
John unlocks the door to his old home, where he sees that someone's been using it to party. He then sees Charlie looking like him, walk out and he tells everyone to get out. He asks how she found about the place, and she switches back to explain that he told her about it while he was drunk. John tells her to get out, and Charlie asks Gary what's with him, but he's distracted at the moment.
John sits in his kitchen drinking, when Charlie walks in. He says he thought he told her to leave, but Charlie says that Gary told her about Astra. She asks why he's getting drunk instead of doing something about it, pulling the bottle right from his hand. She asks what happened at the place, and he explains that he's there to consult with a witch he used to know. However, she's on the other side of a door with a large sigil on it. Charlie asks what he's waiting for, but John says that it's not that easy. He explains that the spirit is Astra's mother, who isn't happy with him. Charlie says that she gets wanting to do it on your own, but if there was a door she could walk through to solve all her problems she'd take the chance. John then walks over, and performs a spell to open the door as Charlie watches. Once it does, Charlie tells him that he's got this, and John says that he hopes she's right. He then walks through the doors and they swing shut behind him.

Hellshifter is a rarepair in the Legends of Tomorrow fandom. Mostly due to both of them being shipped more often with a Zari. Despite this, a lot of fans did see some chemistry between the two, and thought it would develop to at least a hook up. Others thought that the two should bond more due to both of them being punks and having similar interests. On AO3, there are currently 2 written works and 20 gen works.
