Henricken is the slash ship between Henry and Ricken from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Henry and Ricken are both members of the Shepherds. Ricken joins at the beginning of chapter 5. Henry joins at the beginning of chapter 13. Both characters are mage classes and have decent growths. Henry's base class is dark mage, which allows him to use tomes of the dark affinity along with the standard elements.
Supports[]
In their C-support, Ricken finds out Henry used to be part of the Plegian army. Henry was initially surprised by Ricken's reaction as he thought everyone knew by now. Ricken claims the Ylisseans are the good guys, while Henry continues on about how he thinks he could fight the Shepherds, namely Chrom and Frederick. Ricken tells him to stop so people won't get the wrong impression. Henry then tells Ricken that it's fun being by his side and that he'll stay with Ylisse.
At the start of their B-support, Ricken asks Henry if they've fought any of his Allies. Henry lists off a few of them, being Vasto, Mustafa, and Campari. Ricken then asks Henry to stop, as he feels that if he thinks of them humanely, it'll make it more difficult to fight them. Henry tells Ricken that he doesn't understand what the problem is. He then apologizes for asking Henry.
Their A-support starts off with Ricken asking Henry if he resents the Shepherds for killing his former allies. The latter says there's no good in being resentful over it. Surprised, Ricken asks if Henry would simply move on if he were to die in battle. Henry says he'd be upset and would get revenge for it. Once again shocked by Henry's response, Ricken asks why it's different with him. Henry says that he didn't think about the Plegians like that, and says he has real friends amongst the Ylisseans. This leads to Ricken asking him if he thinks of him as a friend, with Henry hesitantly agreeing. The conversation ends with Henry changing the subject since he says he doesn't do well with "touchy-feely stuff."
Harvest Scramble DLC[]
Henry and Ricken can have two conversations in the Harvest Scramble DLC if you talk to Henry with Ricken and vice versa. Their first conversation begins with Henry asking Ricken if he'd be willing to try dark magic. After Ricken tries to turn down his offer, Henry brings up some good things about the dark arts. These reasons start to convince Ricken; especially for the reason that he'd look more mature.
The second conversation follows up with Ricken's decision, telling Henry he would like to try it out. Henry tells him that he has to pass some of his dark energy by holding his hands and letting the power flow through. Ricken feels a gloom come over him; Henry telling him that it is completely normal. After a while, Ricken is overcome with sharp pain all across his body that he describes as "being pricked with blazing-hot needles." Henry promptly releases his hands, as the pain isn't a normal thing, meaning Ricken was not compatible with dark magic. This is when Henry reveals that he was doing this just to help Ricken with his confidence. Ricken is delighted over this and tells him that he would like to try dark magic again in the future. Henry agrees and Ricken thanks him.
Fanon[]
Henricken is one of the most popular ships for both Henry and Ricken. A lot of its fans enjoy the pairing because of their fondness for each other in their supports. Ricken is seen as a scaredy-cat with Henry pulling things like Risen limbs in some fanfictions. The two have can also S-rank and have a written S-support conversation in the "Gay Awakening" hack.
A small controversy about this ship is Henry's possible age. While we do occasionally see him speak to Ricken like a child, specifically in the Harvest Scramble DLC, many fans believe Henry is about or slightly older than Ricken.
It is the most written ship for Ricken and the third most written ship for Henry on AO3.

Trivia[]
- Ricken is the only base class mage that cannot reclass into a dark mage — meaning Henry's statement about Ricken being incompatible for dark magic is true!
