HercAla is the slash ship between Hercules and Aladdin from the Hercules and Aladdin fandoms.

Canon

Hercules and Aladdin are two characters from different Disney movies. However, the two met in the Hercules TV show special Hercules and the Arabian Nights. There are also some Disney crossover games where the two can be in the same team, depending on the player's choice.

Both Hercules and Aladdin can't find a place to fit in and chase an ambition during half of their movies. Hercules was the laughingstock of the town for his clumsiness and wanted to become an hero in order to meet up his father in the Olympus. Aladdin was tired of his street ret live and recently falled in love with a girl that he met in the streets, that turned out to be a princess. Both get what they wanted thanks to their friends, Philoctetes and Genie respectively. Both are optimistic, kind, brave and not afraid to figt in order to save their friends.

Hercules and the Arabian Nights

Hercules and Aladdin met after Hades and a resurrected Jafar planned to finish them off by making them fight. They kidnapped Abu, Aladdin's pet, and Icarus, Hercules' friend, and Jafar (disguised as Aladdin) and Pain and Panic (disguised as Hercules) told Hercules and Aladdin respectively that they kidnapped them. After that, they met in Agrabah, with Hercules thinking that Aladdin kidnapped his friend and vice versa, and started to figth. When Aladdin ask Hercules where is Abu and the latter ask him where is Icarus, the two do not know what the other is talking about and come to the conclusion that it was all a deception by Hades and Jafar. After that, the two went to fight against Hades and Jafar and defeat them. At the end, the two congratulate each others and Aladdin tell him that he will become a grat hero someday.

Fanon

HercAla is a moderately popular crossover ship within the Disney fandom. It is also une of the most popular Disney slash crossover ships, though they are lesser common than the femslash and het ones. The fact that they had a crossover episode generally helps. As well as the two being some of the most iconic Disney heroes. It have also inspired to the creaction of others Hercules/Aladdin crossover ships between the two movies, such Hades x Jafar.

The ship currently has over 10 works on AO3. It's the 2nd most written ship for Hercules and the 5th for Aladdin. The ship also has a small fanbase on fan art sites and some fanvids and MEPs within the Disney fanvids community.
