HilClaude is the het between Claude and Hilda from the Fire Emblem fandom.

Canon[]

Claude von Riegan and Hilda Valentine Goneril are two playable characters in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and its spin-off Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. Hilda is the daughter of House Goneril, one of the most influential Houses in the Leicester Alliance and the one who guards Fódlan's Throat from Almyran Invaders. Claude is the recently appeared heir to the Leicester Alliance, with him secretly being the Prince of Almyra who's true name is Khalid. In Imperial Year 1180, they both became students at Garreg Mach Monastery's Officer Academy, Claude and Hilda both join the Golden Deer class with the former becoming the House Leader. If Byleth chooses to teach the Golden Deer, Claude and Hilda will be their students. Byleth can recruit Hilda regardless of the House. If the Golden Deer is chosen the both of them can have support conversations. If they reach an A-Support at the end of the game they can wed.

Academy Time[]

If Byleth chose the Golden Deer, the both of them will be able to have support conversations. In their C support conversation, Hilda receives a letter from her brother with them talking about the Almyrans, with some of the dialogue changing if the support is viewed before the war phase, where Claude says he's the heir to the leading house of the Alliance, if the support is viewed after the war phase then Claude says that he's the leader of the Alliance.

In their B support conversation, Claude catches Hilda writing a letter with him guessing that she's replying to one of her brother's letters. Claude confirms that he hasn't written to his parents, with Hilda thinking his father died with Claude correcting her that it was his uncle who died. The two talk about Claude's parents, with Claude saying that his father having tied him to a horse when he was young with his mother not stepping up to Hilda's surprise, and while Claude recounts how his mother fought his battle instructor with Hilda being surprised that Claude's mother won. Near the end of the conversation, Claude says he looks forward to the day when something inspires Hilda to try her absolute hardest.

Azure Moon[]

In the Azure Moon route, Hilda can be recruited to the Blue Lions. If she isn't recruited she'll be fought with Claude at Gronder Field, with the both of them being allies in Chapter 19 of Azure Moon. After that Claude will leave the Leicester Alliance behind and return to Almyra, if Hilda was recruited then a War Master will replace where she appears in Chapter 19 and Gronder Field.

Verdant Wind[]

In the Verdant Wind route, Byleth chooses to teach the Golden Deer. Claude and Hilda are automatically assigned to Byleth's class at the beginning of the story and the Leicester Army after the timeskip.

During their A support conversation, Claude notes that Hilda always fake cries after he tells a story about a white camel that moved Hilda to tears, with Hilda noting that when Claude smiles or laughs it's not sincere, with the genuine times when he smiles being a handful of times such as when he talks to Byleth. The two also talk about their eyes wander with it being how they were able to notice such things about the other. Claude proposes that once the war finishes, Hilda come meet his parents, with him letting her in on her secrets after she opened up to him quite a bit. Both of them agree that her brother won't be too happy if the journey is too long.

In their paired ending Claude leaves for Almyra to take his place as the heir to the throne, while Hilda studies with her brother to prepare to become the Queen of a country. When he becomes king several years later, he makes a surprise announcement that Hilda will be his Queen, with her having an uncanny talent for diplomacy and she greatly contributes to the friendly relations between Fódlan and Almyra. The presence of two queens born in Fódlan, Claude's mother and Hilda, does much to alter the Almyran values.

Silver Snow[]

In Silver Snow, Claude and Hilda won't interact with each other. Hilda can be recruited to the Black Eagles house before the 12th chapter begins. Claude won't appear in this route after the timeskip. If Hilda wasn't recruited, she won't appear either with her fate being unknown otherwise she'll follow Byleth and the army of the Church.

Crimson Flower[]

In Crimson Flower, the both of them will be unrecruitable. Hilda will be fought and killed by the Adrestian army under the command of the player, while Claude can be either spared or executed depending on the player's decision. Claude and the Alliance's defeat at Derdriu helps break the stalemate the Empire had with Faerghus and ultimately conquer the latter country.

Fanon[]

The pair currently has 489 works on AO3. It is Claude's fifth most popular ships and Hilda's second most popular ship.
