Himehua is the femslash ship between Murata Himeko and Fu Hua from the Honkai fandom.
Canon[]
Previous Era[]
On Hua's way home from the city of Sapphire, she witnesses the 3rd Honkai eruption. She is saved by Captain HIMEKO. Later, at the MOTH's base, HIMEKO checks on her. Hua asks about the situation, and HIMEKO warns her that she's about to tell her something very grave before revealing that a disaster struck Sapphire and that Hua is one of the few survivors. HIMEKO advises her to forget about everything and leave Sapphire behind. Hua asked what really happened, and HIMEKO refuses to tell her at first. Hua insists that she wants to know what she can do. HIMEKO warns that she can't give her hope, only a spark, and that if she chooses to hear the truth, she will carry that burden for the rest of her life. After some deliberation, Hua states that she wants the truth, and HIMEKO accepts, leading to Hua's enlistment into the MOTHS.
One day, shortly after the defeat of the 6th Herrscher, HIMEKO prepares Hua for a party. She asks Hua about her unenthusiasm, and Hua states that she doesn't understand why they're celebrating after the sacrifices they had to endure for their victory. HIMEKO reminds Hua that forgetting is the best way to relieve pain in war. She asks if Hua's sure she doesn't want to join, but Hua relents, much to HIMEKO's delight. One year later, some time after HIMEKO's death, Hua reflects on her words before another party. Although many of the soldiers have since been less enthusiastic about these parties, Hua understood what HIMEKO said about the importance of forgetting, and joins the party hoping everyone can be happy for the night.
The 7th Herrscher awakened inside HIMEKO, ravaging much destruction, and leaving Hua as the only survivor of Squad V. Hua was conflicted on why HIMEKO of all people was turned into a herrscher, or how to stop her. Hua revolved to find a way to save her.[1] For a moment, HIMEKO breaks through the herrscher persona and speaks to Hua.[2] Before Hua could talk her down, however, HIMEKO was killed by Kevin under Dr. MEI's orders, which she resented them for.[3]
Main Story[]
Under the Falling Sky[]
When Kiana becomes the Herrscher of the Void, Himeko sides with Theresa in trying to save her while Fu Hua follows Otto's orders of quelling them. Fu Hua has Rita agree to not hurt any of her friends, and they surround Himeko and Tesla. Fu Hua and Himeko argue, with Fu Hua believing Kiana too dangerous to be left alive while Himeko is opposed to sacrificing an innocent girl for the sake of humanity. The two then battle. When Himeko is weakened, Rita offers to deliver the final blow, but Fu Hua reminds her of their agreement, so they are taken as prisoners instead.
In the prison, Fu Hua gives an unconscious Himeko one of her feathers to help soothe her pain, though the action hurts Fu Hua herself. She is prompted to leave once an alarm sounds.
The next time Fu Hua meets Himeko, she is only a fragment of her own sentience transferred out of her body, since Otto shot her in the head. Fu Hua gives Himeko the Honkai-neutralizing serum, and instructs her to use it on herself and safely hide in one of the guard towers. However, Himeko is determined on saving the girls, so Fu Hua tells her to meet her in the Schicksal labs. Later, after exploring the labs with Tesla, Himeko sees Fu Hua again, who tells her that there is something important in both this floor and the bottom floor. Based on Tesla's reaction, Himeko is the only one seeing Fu Hua's apparitions. While Tesla is busy testing the serum, Himeko goes to the bottom floor, finding the prototype Vermillion Knight: Eclipse battlesuit. Fu Hua states that this is their trump card and only weapon capable of going up against the Herrscher. Himeko accepts and Fu Hua dons the battlesuit on her. Himeko questions Fu Hua on who she is, and she simply replies that she is a person like Himeko who wants to defeat the Honkai. After successfully donning the battlesuit, Fu Hua bids Himeko farewell for the last time, and Himeko thanks her.

Fanon[]
Himehua used to be a popular ship within the fandom until other ships with Fu Hua like Fuki and Sentihua became more popular. The ship gained popularity since Himeko and Fu Hua were often paired in canon stories in St. Freya, and because of their interactions in Chapter 9. They are also often seen together in official art along with Theresa. Himehua is also enjoyed since Fu Hua knew two iterations of Himeko across eras, leaving angst potential since she witnessed Himeko's death twice.
With the release of Honkai: Star Rail, many fans hope to see interaction with the variants of Himeko and Fu Hua in the future.
