HollySugar is the femslash ship between Hollyberry Cookie and Eternal Sugar Cookie from the Cookie Run fandom.
Canon[]
In the beginning of May, a trailer was released about the two cookies, showing Eternal Sugar holding Hollyberry's hand and guiding her through her world. Later, she walks up to Hollyberry, holds both of her hands, and tells her to not worry about anything. In another trailer, Eternal Sugar smiles to Hollyberry and holds her face up, encasing her with her wings.[1]
Eternal Sugar has been shown to have deep feelings for Hollyberry throughout the entire game. She constantly talks about how Hollyberry is her "other half", and wishes to see her happy forever, never to feel any pain ever again. Eternal Sugar has seen her past, and has looked into her heart. She becomes extremely possessive of Hollyberry for a while, even to the point of forcing her to stay. As she yells at her, she is notably in the verge of tears. Later on, Eternal Sugar allows Hollyberry to leave her paradise by eating a golden apple. Hollyberry advises her to stop lying to herself with the forced happiness within her paradise. Hollyberry is shown shielding Eternal Sugar as she says this, and Eternal Sugar looks up with her with shiny eyes and a blush, asking if Hollyberry changed her mind for her, to which Hollyberry responds by telling her to wake up, telling her she's leaving and to consider what she's said and that she'll return.
In-game[]
In Eternal Sugar's paradise, Hollyberry Cookie states that she feels strangely relaxed around Eternal Sugar. She compliments her music, and the two have a very pleasant chat together.
When Hollyberry comes back to the paradise injured with Wildberry—who's in critical condition—she pleads Eternal Sugar to heal him. Eternal Sugar comments on how selfless Hollyberry is, and slowly heals Wildberry. Shortly after this, she later reveals that she is a "Beast", a creature that Pure Vanilla cookie had previously warned Hollyberry about in a letter. Eternal Sugar destroys Hollyberry's shield, and traps her inside a jewelry box, where she shows Hollyberry her memories of her past, and before her soul jam was given to her.
During their walk in the paradise, Pavlova tells Hollyberry about Eternal Sugar's feelings for her, having Hollyberry speechless, then thinking on it.
Eternity in the Embrace of Sloth[]
Matching Legendary costumes of the two were released on June 3rd 2025 as part of the "Eternity in the Embrace of Sloth" costume set. The costume set's story depicted an alternate timeline in which Hollyberry stayed in the Garden of Delights with Eternal Sugar after her shield broke.
Eternity in the Embrace of Sloth
After Hollyberry's shield is destroyed, Eternal Sugar promises to Hollyberry that - should she agree to join their powers - she would make a world where no one has to suffer. Hollyberry accepts her offer, joining forces with Eternal Sugar and becoming the protector of the Garden whilst leaving her friends to rest inside jars where they can be safe and happy. Eternal Sugar gives Hollyberry a new shield which she uses whilst guarding the gates, but Hollyberry begins to have doubts about her choice and whether living in ignorant bliss is truly the right choice.

Eternal Sugar notices Hollyberry's doubts and asks what's bothering her, to which Hollyberry tries to brush it off and lie but Eternal Sugar is able to tell she isn't being truthful. Eternal Sugar asks Hollyberry if she's regretting her choice to stay in the Garden, to which Hollyberry can't give a definitive answer and instead continues to ponder on if she's making people unhappy with her choice by leaving them to dream in jam.
Eternal Sugar tells her to chase away those painful thoughts and holds Hollyberry's face, reassuring her that she made the right choice. That her choice has made everyone happy just as she desired and that, in the end, she would've made the same choice anyways in order to make everyone truly happy. Hollyberry cookie, though still having doubts, agrees with Eternal Sugar and chooses to instead continue believing that "the denizens of the Garden were truly free of suffering and pains". She brushes her worries off as overthinking and leaves to take a mulled juice bath to calm her mind whilst Eternal Sugar stays behind to decorate Hollyberry's shield with more berries.

Once Hollyberry leaves, Eternal Sugar's expression becomes cold as she becomes upset over the fact that Hollyberry keeps lingering on the what-ifs of her decision instead of enjoying the slothful life they now lead. She views Hollyberry's worries as her causing herself more pain and laments on the fact Hollyberry tries to hide that from her, but states that is what makes Hollyberry so lovely to her.

HollySugar is a very popular ship in the fandom, and has been increasingly getting more popular. They have been shipped since the release trailer for the update "Paradise of Passion and Sloth" because of how they interacted in said trailers. One of the many reasons why it is shipped so much is because of the way Eternal Sugar Cookie talks about and interacts with Hollyberry Cookie, especially in the game, with many joking about how she doesn't care about her soul jam but only about her "other half". Some people are under the impression that Eternal Sugar Cookie is "lovesick" and even call her a "yandere" due to the way she reacts to Hollyberry wanting to leave her garden. However, most fans like to think that she does love Hollyberry Cookie sincerely and is only desperate, or even obsessed, due to her nature of wanting to protect her and make cookies happy.
There are a lot of interpretations of their relationship so far, and what they are feeling towards each other. One interpretation that is the most divided in the community is whether Hollyberry Cookie likes Eternal Sugar back. Some fans think that the ship is one sided because in their opinions Hollyberry feelings aren't as clear as Eternal Sugars. However, others like to think otherwise due to her words about becoming two halves of a soul with Eternal Sugar if she realizes her lies. Fans also like to back this up by saying that they would show their love differently due to their differences in personality and background, as well as that Eternal Sugar would show love in a more twisted way due to being a beast, which is why she's more commonly depicted to be the "obsessive" one in the ship.
The dialogue about being two halves of a soul between the two has spawned quite a lot of fan works on how their relationship would unfold after Eternal Sugar becomes better and how they would be together. Although, some fan works like to show their relationship in a more toxic light if Eternal Sugar doesn't end up changing her ways. It is also common to see their matching costumes from the set "Eternity in the Embrace of Sloth" be depicted as the more toxic viewing of the ship due to the story that accompanies it.
A lot of speculations were happening based on what happened in the trailer and in Beast-Yeast Episode 9: Garden of Sweet Delights. One of the many theories that was somewhat popular was that Eternal Sugar Cookie was a manipulator and was only using Hollyberry Cookie for her gain, and thus didn't have any real feelings towards her. However, after the release of Beast-Yeast Episode 10: Battlefield of Passion, the theories have not held up as Eternal Sugar Cookie has been shown to be very different from how the fanbase thought she would be. This has caused some hate towards not only Eternal Sugar Cookie but also the ship because some think that Eternal Sugar Cookie was "ruined" or even "mischaracterized" by the developers themselves.
Per trend with other Beast x Ancient ships, they are considered toxic and an unhealthy ship by a portion of the fandom, as well as being called "soulmates" by others. Most notably for Beast x Ancient ships, they are currently the only "yuri" or femslash ship, though it is unknown whether the ship between White Lily Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie will also be femslash. After the release of Episode 10 of Beast-Yeast, their relationship is now viewed as one of the more healthier ships between Ancients and Beasts, though still with a toxic side to the ship.
Many fans have spoken about double dates between ShadowVanilla and HollySugar. It is also common to see the two being depicted as Pavlova Cookies "divorced parents". The ship also rivals HollyTaya on Hollyberry Cookie's side and ShadowSugar on Eternal Sugar Cookie's side.
