Honaemuena is the poly ship between Honami Mochizuki, Emu Ootori, and Ena Shinonome from the Project SEKAI Fandom.
Canon[]
In canon, Honami, Emu, and Ena are good friends and art buddies. Since Ena is considered the best artist out of the three, Honami and Emu often look up to her.
Paint What I Love ♪ Rainbow Canvas[]
In the first chapter, Ena first notices Honami after the former's art class. As Ena walks out of her art class, she notices a troubled Honami outside an art class for little children. Honami is feeling stressed; we get sent to a flashback where Honami is invited to temporarily be a kindergarten teacher for little kids along with Emu. However, this position requires them to draw zoo animals for the children, and Honami is horrible at art. Later, Honami goes to Kanade's house to housekeep. Kanade notices that Honami is feeling down, so she asks her what's and Honami tells her about the kindergarten position and the art skills required.
Later, Nightcord is having their nightly meeting, and Ena tells the rest about how she was recently told her art lacked appeal. Since they were on the topic of art, Kanade asked Ena for art tips she could tell to a beginner. Ena asked about it, and Kanade explained that her housekeeper needed to learn art and wasn't good at it, so she wanted to know what to tell her. Ena said she couldn't give much advice until she saw the art itself, since she wouldn't be able to know what she's struggling in. Then, Ena suggests that Kanade can give Ena the girl's contact info so she could see the art directly.
The following day, Honami messages Ena, telling her about her art struggles, specifically about how anything Honami seems to try drawing always ends up looking unrecognizable. Ena asked to see her art, and 30 minutes later Honami sends her a picture from scratch of what she says is supposed to be a dog. Ena is shocked, thinking that it looked like a sea cucumber and struggles to comment anything on it. After some conversation, Ena suggests they instead meet in person, and Honami accepts.
The next day, Honami meets Emu drawing in the classroom and they decide to practice; they'd rotate between the child and the teacher and draw for each other. Honami explains that she isn't good at drawing at all, and that people had laughed at her art many times before. Honami then tells Emu about how someone is planning to teach her how to draw, and they don't really have a place yet. Emu then suggests she joins their art lessons and they could learn at her house. Honami says that as long as her mentor would allow it, she'd be fine with it.
Later, Ena is looking for Emu's house and spots Honami. They properly meet each other in real life and introduce themselves. Ena then asks Honami where Emu's house is, since she can't seem to find it. Honami points to a large building and Ena is surprised since it looks like a museum, since there's so many gates and it's huge. The two promptly enter and see Emu in the large living area.
They enter Emu's room, and Honami tells Ena that her goal is to have the children recognize what animal she draws. Ena sets the two tasks to draw an animal so she could tell them how they can improve. Ena spots Emu drawing a large, bold squirrel and believes the children will like it. However, when Ena goes to check Honami, the latter hasn't drawn anything yet. Honami tells Ena that she has no problem following instructions, but she feels embarrassed at the idea of someone watching her draw, since she would always get laughed at for her drawings so now she's anxious that someone would tease her about her art. Ena and Emu comforts Honami by telling her everyone starts at the bottom, and Honami realized her fear won't help her learn and thanked Ena.
Initially, Ena starts feeling good about lifting Honami's spirits; until the latter starts drawing. Ena is more scared than teasing. Although Ena thinks that some changes composition can give it a more abstract feel, she has to remind herself children should be able to understand the drawing, and that she needs to teach Honami how to draw in a way children would understand. Honami promptly asks Ena what she thinks, and Ena has to try and ask what Honami drew without sounding rude. However, at that moment, Emu turned to look at the drawing and complimented it, saying that she drew a really good sea cucumber. Before Ena can try doing anything to stop Honami's feelings from being hurt, Honami tells Emu that it was supposed to be an elephant. Honami is embarrassed and says she'll erase the drawing and start over, but Emu tells her that she loves the elephant and not to rub it out. Emu hangs up Honami's elephant drawing, and Ena gives Honami some advice before suggesting she look at a photo and try copying it to grasp the shape better. Since Honami said she tried it and it didn't work, Ena instead suggested she finds a simple drawing on her smartphone, put the paper over it, and start tracing, which Honami does.
Quotes[]

So, I understand your fear, but let's go by showing it bit by bit, okay? There isn't anyone here who would laugh at your art, Honami-Chan.”
- Emu – “That's right! I'll be showing mine as well, so let's do out best together!”
