Paint What I Love♪ Rainbow Canvas[]

In Episode 1, Ena talks with her friend Futaba about their art class and wonders about their teacher's critique of Ena's painting. She then notices Honami standing outside the beginners' art class with a doubtful look on her face and mentions seeing her there last week as well. When Futaba says she might be nervous of going inside, Ena's mind flashes back to her starting to feel sick while facing the art class building after 2 years in her last focus event. Ena symphatizes with her saying she might be uncertain about going in and thinks to herself how drawing requires a lot of willpower. Honami is then shown thinking how she might be able to improve her art skills if she entered the art class. It is then revealed that Honami is going to be a kindergarden teacher for her job shadowing assignment together with Emu, and her face goes pale after their teacher tells them the kindergarden wants them to paint one of the walls with animals to give it a "zoo-like feeling."

After Honami goes over to Kanade's for housework, she explains her dilemma to her, who then tells Ena if she could give any advice to Honami. After a bit of thinking, Ena offers to help Honami and see what kind of advice she could give in return for taking care of Kanade. Ena tells Kanade to give her Honami's contact information and Kanade thanks her. Ena tells herself that despite thinking she isn't so good at art, she'll do her best to help Honami out. A few days later, the two start messaging each other and Ena thinks Honami really is a polite and nice girl just like Kanade had said. Honami explains her problem to Ena, how everything she tries drawing turns into something unrecognizable, and Ena is surprised and ponders maybe Honami really can't draw, but how she can't give proper advice without seeing her art first. Ena asks for a picture and after half an hour she thinks of going to sleep but gets a reply from Honami. Honami asks what Ena thinks of her drawing of a dog and Ena is completely shocked, trying to see it at different angles (considering it abstract art or she's trying to show a metaphor of something etc.) before realizing there's no way Honami would try putting such deep meanings into her art if she can't draw in the first place. Ena tells her it's an impactful drawing and Honami apologizes before begging Ena to teach her. Ena realizes how thoughtful Honami is and decides to help her out.

In Episode 3, Honami thinks how happy she is that Ena is going to teach her and she ponders where they could practice before Emu suggests they can use her home for their lesson and how she wants to join as well. While trying to search for Emu's house Honami and Ena bump into each other and Ena mentions seeing Honami in front of her beginners' classroom, embarrassing her. Seeing how much Honami wants to improve, Ena is motivated to help her out. After their introductions, Ena asks where Emu's house is and is then shocked, asking if people really live in such big houses. The two express their surprise over the size of the residence and Ena is even more shocked upon realizing Emu's family owns PXL. Honami apologizes for not mentioning it to her before as she only had drawing in mind, but Ena reassures her that she was only shocked herself.

In Episode 4, Honami asks Ena to help her improve so people can recognize the animals she will draw. After Ena gives them an assignment, she sees Honami's face stiffened up and then gets flustered when Ena asks for her progress. Honami then confesses she feels embarrassed about being watched while she's drawing because she used to get teased by the other kids for her art skills when she was younger, and even now is afraid people will laugh at her art. Ena symphatizes with her, thinking she was traumatized and how she too was shocked back when Yukihira criticized her art hard in front of everyone. Ena assures her it's fine and how nobody will laugh at her. Honami finds her resolve and tells Ena's she's counting on her, and the latter tells her to do her best. At first Ena feels positive but is shocked seeing Honami's drawing process. When she's finished Ena is at a loss for words, trying to find a perfect way to word her question before Emu expresses how Honami's drawing looks like a sea cucumber. Honami dejectedly says she was trying to draw an elephant. After a bit of banter between Honami and Emu, Ena points out Honami isn't able to grasp the shape of what she's trying to draw which is why her drawings always end up so weird. She then suggests they look at something and trace it.

In Episode 5, Honami attempts to trace her cellphone and Ena compliments her work. Honami is happy, having thought she couldn't draw well and Ena suggests she try copying it now. After a while Ena decides to check Honami's new drawing and she is terrified seeing Honami, who is now in tears, failed drawing again. Ena tells her she's going to try thinking for a while in order to find out why it turned out that way. Honami starts feeling depressed and voices out that she might just have to give up and support Emu instead. Ena is reminded of her middle school self and pumps herself up before telling Honami to memorize patterns in order to make drawing easier. She rules out that Honami is able to draw shapes and patterns well so she should stick to a simpler style. Honami manages to draw a cat and Ena is relieved to see Honami smiling, and then they proceed to draw multiple animals. Honami thanks Ena and she is overjoyed that people can finally recognize her drawings. Ena asks if she could take Honami's first drawing as a way of commemorating her success and Honami is unsure initially, but after Emu and Ena encourage her, she is fine with it. After their lesson, Honami thanks Ena for all the help and Ena says she is happy as well even though she initially thought she couldn't teach them well. The two part ways and Ena thinks back on their lesson and Honami's art style at home. She takes a proper look at the elephant Honami tried to draw and starts grasping its shape fully.

Later as Honami tries drawing her dog in the SEKAI during a drawing session, she starts being insecure even after trying to use the techniques Ena taught her, but she starts feeling better after Len talks about his way of drawing. Meanwhile Ena is shown to be worried about whether she should have taught Emu and Honami or not as she feels like she "removed" parts of Honami's unique artstyle by teaching her simple techniques instead. Futaba assures Ena didn't do anything wrong, which leads to Ena thinking how she'll do what she can.

During the job shadowing day, Honami starts painting animals and paints how Ena instructed her. One of the children recognizes her drawing for a fox and enthusiastically says they want to draw one too. Honami blushes while happy and thinks how grateful she's for Ena teaching her. She then goes to a girl who is all alone and finds out she's just like Honami, as in people have a hard time recognizing or laugh at her art. They draw crocodiles together, but the girl's crocodile ends up looking weird, and the other kids come around to make fun of her. Honami instructs her but the girl yells saying it's not her crocodile and a small scene happens, before Ena steps in and surprises everyone. Honami explains the situation to Ena and after noticing the crying girl, Ena asks where the crocodile is. Ena praises the girl's drawing and goes on detail why she likes it before suggesting how to make it even cooler.

Afterwards, the girl asks about Honami's painting, who is then left doubtful, before Ena asks her to draw her own crocodile. Ena gives her pep talk and Honami says she'll try drawing again. She reminisces a crocodile she had seen when she was in elementary school and draws based on her memory. Although the other children laugh at it, the girl recognizes what it is. Ena nods along and attempts to leave but is persuaded by the other children and the teacher to stay and keep drawing with everyone. Honami also requests Ena to not leave, and Ena stays around until sunset. Honami then thanks Ena for all the help and admits she has started loving her art. Ena, in return, also thanks Honami and tells her she was able to properly reflect what appeal means in art. Honami then sheepishly asks if Ena could teach her again someday and how she wants to become as good as the latter one day.
