HonoKari is the femslash ship between Honoka Yukishiro and Hikari Kujo from the Pretty Cure fandom.
Canon[]
Hikari was first sent to earth, which was located in the Garden of Rainbows, as the human incarnation of the Queen's life while wondering who she was. Honoka first saw her looking into a river from a distance while walking with her friend Nagisa and found her to be familiar even though she had never met her before. Hikari also found Honoka to be familiar despite not knowing who she was. Hikari was later transferred to Verone academy as a first year student while Honoka was entering her third year there. Honoka and Nagisa tried to approach Hikari at the end of the school day, and Hikari tried to respond but was interrupted by two of her classmates approaching her, with one of them being jealous that she seemed to know Honoka, who was now the president of the science club.
Honoka and Hikari first formally met when Nagisa brought Honoka to eat at Akane's newly renovated takoyaki stand. They introduced themselves to each other, and Honoka learned that Hikari was Akane's cousin who had come to live with her and was helping her work at her takoyaki stand in exchange. Honoka found this to be slightly odd due to being a regular customer and friend of Akane's and never knowing that she had a cousin. Later, while they were alone with Nagisa, a Zakenna attacked, and Nagisa and Honoka were forced to transform into Pretty Cure in front of Hikari. The fairy Pollun awakened and granted Hikari to transform into Shining Luminous, who had the ability to boost Honoka and Nagisa's attacks.
Wisdom and Elder later identified Hikari as the human incarnation of the Queen's life, and she and Honoka worked together along with Nagisa to gather the twelve heartiels and fight any Zakenna who threatened humanity. Honoka and Hikari became close friends during their time spent together. Hikari learned more about friendship and being human through Honoka and the two spent a lot of time together. Hikari supported Honoka with her endeavors in the science club, and they also often attended Nagisa's lacrosse matches together.
Hikari later disappeared after eleven of the heartiels were gathered, and Honoka was worried. She checked in with both Akane and Hikari's classmates and was horrified to learn that nobody else remembered her besides Nagisa. They later found Hikari inside of the Dotsuku Zone, where Baldez was trying to get Hikari to revive the Queen so that the Evil King could be freed. Honoka did not want the Queen to be revived if it meant losing Hikari, but Hikari decided to reform the Queen anyway so that they could defeat the Evil King. Honoka was saddened when she saw the Queen, as she knew what meant, but Hikari spoke through the Queen and told her it was okay before helping Honoka and Nagisa deal the finishing blow.
Honoka was depressed after the final battle over the supposed loss of Hikari. She and Nagisa visited Akane's takoyaki stand with flowers and were asked why they were so sad. Before they could respond, they found Hikari alive and well in her human form, along with her new 'younger brother.' Honoka was overjoyed that her friend was still alive and that they could still be friends.

HonoKari has a small amount of support in the Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart fandom. It is greatly overshadowed due to the overwhelmingly popular NagiHono pairing being vastly popular and the Max Heart series not being dubbed into English. HonoKari is sometimes a companion to FujiNagi to give all of the main characters a love interest, but there are also others who prefer the poly ship NagiHonoHika where they are all shipped together. HonoKari rivals the NagiHono, KiriHono, NagiKari, and HikaDai pairings.
