Huelena is the het ship between Lena Sabrewing and Huey Duck from the DuckTales fandom.
Canon[]
Lena and Huey are both close friends with Webby. It is through this friendship that they meet each other. They are first seen interacting in "Terror of the Terra-firmians!", when Huey and Webby argue about the existence of terra-firmians. Lena suggests that they go underground to try and settle the debate. She seems initially annoyed at Huey's reliance on the JWG, even going so far as to take it and through it down the stairs. When Huey gets excited about rock samples, Lena again mocks him.
In "Jaw$!", Lena attends a slumber party at the McDuck manor. Huey, Dewey, and Louie crash the slumber party to start a pillow fight with her and Webby. The boys later sneak into Scrooge's moneybin, to find a money shark that Lena planted wreaking havoc. Dewey is eaten by the shark, and Huey and Louie run home to get help from Lena and Webby. The four set off to try and save Dewey, alongside Launchpad McQuack. Huey and Louie are eventually eaten by the shark as well, but are saved when Lena uses her magical powers to destroy the money shark.
In "A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!", Lena has another sleepover at the McDuck manor. When Louie asks why she's acting so nice that night, Lena replies that not everything she says is "mean and sarcastic". Huey points out that she sounds like that right now. Lena's magical powers go haywire in the night, transporting all of the kids into a dream. They explore each other's fantasies, with Huey's involving him being the tallest of his siblings and growing massively long legs.
In "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!", Lena supports her sister, Violet, against Huey. She encourages Lena to "talk trash" with Huey, even going so far as to shout that Violet should call him a clown. Later, when Huey loses the competition, Lena tries to call him a name again, before Violet shushes her.
Lena and Huey's most notable interaction occurs in "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!". Huey and Lena, alongside Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Violet, are brought to Istanbird to search for the split sword. The kids pair off into groups, and Huey and Lena end up together. They discover the blade, but are soon met by Steelbeak. Lena uses her powers to stop time, so that she and Huey can plan a strategy. He tries a number of options, but each ends in failure. Lena finds a door marked "The Duke of Making a Mess" inside Huey's subconsciousness, and opens it. Inside is a feral version of Huey, who the regular Huey quickly locks back up. He explains that he locks away "The Duke" because he goes against everything Huey stands for. However, Lena encourages him to embrace The Duke as it is the only way they will beat Steelbeak. Huey attempts to embrace The Duke, but has a hard time controlling him. However, with Lena's help, he is able to embrace this secret side of himself. The two successfully defeat Steelbeak and grab the blade. Lena declares that Huey's attack was "the most beautiful butt-kicking [she's] ever seen".
Fanon[]
Huelena is considered to be a rarepair in the fandom, competing against much more popular pairings such as Weblena and Huelet. However, the two do share an important moment together in "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!", which is the main reason why people ship this couple. Huey is the only Duck Triplet that Lena is really shown to have a relationship with.
Fans of Huelena like the "Opposites Attract" trope they compose, with Huey as the smart, studious type and Lena as the laidback rebel. Fans may also like having Lena officially join the McDuck clan through Huey, especially if they only see Webby and Lena as best friends.
