HunTessAlly is the poly ship between Hunter Page, Tess Morgan and Ally Amber from the Disventure Camp fandom.
Canon[]
Pilot[]
While running to Camp Tipiskaw, Hunter catches up to Tess to make small talk. He notes that no one else bothered to run by their sides which Tess says that she's used to it. Hunter explains that he usually doesn't hang out with that many people. Hunter asks if he's bothering her, Tess responds that he isn't since he seems calm and that it's just very extroverted people that she doesn't like. Hunter and Tess then introduce themselves to each other. In the confessional, Hunter admits that it was awkward talking to Tess, but he really likes her.
Hunter, Tess and Ally are all placed on the Green Team alongside Conner, Kai, Riya and Yul.
Open Your Eyes[]
In the dining hall, Hunter walks up to Tess, who's sitting alone, and asks if he can sit. Tess allows him as he sits down, Hunter then tries to make small talk with Tess and says he wants to tell her more about him. Tess denies saying that there's nothing interesting to know about her. Hunter suggests that they play a card game together to help them get closer. Tess coldly rejects his advances and tells him to not waste his time on her and asks him to find someone who actually wants to socialize. Hunter sadly gets up, apologizes for bother her and leaves her sitting alone.
During the 12-hour mark of the challenge to stay awake, Hunter taps Tess on the shoulder while she's struggling to stay awake when Hunter then notices Ally playing on her Switch. Hunter asks what she's doing, and Ally says she's playing Smash Bros, and offers to let him play. He mentions that he knows her since he follows her Twitch channel and compliments her videos. Ally asks why he didn't bring it up before, Hunter admits that he was embarrassed to tell her. Ally then offers to play together with him during the challenge and lends him a console.
At the 18-hour mark, Hunter and Ally are still playing games together, as Hunter has improved after studying the characters. Ally expresses that she's having fun playing with him but she sadly says that the console's battery is almost done. Hunter then offers to play a card game to have them get to know each other more, and Ally says that it sounds like fun and accepts. In a confessional, Ally expresses that she's had a great time with Hunter and hopes that they'll continue the entire show together as friends.
At the 36-hour mark, Ally is notices that is finding difficulty staying awake. Ally tries to keep them awake by suggesting they should dance, she proceeds to play loud music and starts dancing, but she then notices Hunter has fallen asleep. Ally sits by his side as Hunter lays on her shoulder causing her to blush.
The Kiss-a-thon[]
In the dining hall, Hunter and Ally are playing a card game when Hunter says that it is time for them to prepare for the challenge. As the two prepare to get ready for the next challenge, Hunter suggests the two of them play video games after the challenge which Ally delightfully agrees. Ally awkwardly says they should take a shower first individually as she clumsily corrects herself as Kristal said for the campers to do so.
Ally heads to take a shower, when she enters the room, she finds Tess and greets her, asking if she was ready for the next challenge as she walks by, to which Tess answers that she thinks so. After taking her pills, she accidentally bumps into a shirtless Hunter on her way out. Hunter asks if she heard Kristal's announcement which Tess replies that she’s heading there now. Hunter says he’ll see her there. While picking up her pills, he notices the label on the bottle: “Paroxetine: Pills to Treat Depression.”
In the third round of the "Kiss Or Lose" challenge, the wheel lands on Ally and Lake. Ally is clearly nervous but Hunter eases her nerves by telling her to just pretend it's a dating simulator game. Ally laughs at the corny retort but builds up the courage as she walks to Lake for the kiss challenge. In the third round of the "Kiss Or Lose" challenge, the wheel lands on Ally and Lake. Hunter nervously accept with Tess saying she doesn't care anyway. Ally awkwardly cheers on Hunter while hiding her obvious jealously. Hunter and Tess kiss for way longer that's expected making things awkward for the three of them. In the confessional, Hunter admits that he's never kissed a lot of girls and that he thought she would stop. In Ally's confessional, she tries to remind herself that the kiss was just part of the challenge with a sad look. In Tess's confessional she says that the kiss felt kind of good.
After the challenge, Hunter arrives to the girl's cabin to play video games with Ally. Ally expresses how excited she it for the two of them to play together, until Tess enters the cabin. Hunter invited Tess the play with the two of them. Ally in an uneasy tone says it's fine and allows her to sit down. In the confessional, Ally says that she doesn't dislike Tess, but thought that her and Hunter were just going to play alone. While the three are playing together, Hunter excuses himself to go to the bathroom. In a confessional, Tess mentions that she could sense Ally didn't want me, but she stayed because she didn’t want to let Hunter down.
On his way to the bathroom, Hunter runs into Conner. He notices Hunter has been hanging out with Tess and Ally and tell Hunter that he should pick one of them. Hunter doesn't quite see the vison claiming they're just friends but Connor gives advice on how that he should pay attention to the the way they look at him. In the confessional, Hunter contemplates on how he should feel about them stating he just wanted to be friends with them. But he notes that they're both really pretty girls. He admits to being comfortable with both girls but doubts they'll ever be interested in him.
Truth Hurts[]
At the beginning of the episode, Tess and Ally make small talk, noting that Hunter has been acting a bit off. In her confessional, Tess admits she's concerned about him and wants to find out what's going on so she can help.
During the trivia challenge, when Kristal is exposing the contestants, she spills that Ally and Tess are in love with Hunter and he knows it. This makes Hunter angrily interrupts her and says they'll keep playing the challenge.
You Are a Monster[]
In the morning, Ally and Tess spot Hunter walking by and decide to confront him about him knowing about their feelings for him. Hunter acts oblivious to what they're saying but their conversation is interrupted by Kristal announcing that and immunity totem has been hidden in camp. Hunter then runs off to find it, and Ally tries to go after him, but Tess stops her, knowing he's not ready to talk yet. While looking for the totem, they to talk to each other about their mutual love for Hunter. Tess denies that she was "in love" with him, but that he had been good to her, while Ally admits that she smiles when she thinks about him, and when he's by her side, her heart races and any problem she has becomes a small one. Ally then goes on to say that if Tess felt that way with Hunter, she wouldn't mind.
Fanon[]
HunTessAlly is the most popular poly ship within Disventure Camp, due to their close interactions during season 2 and also how they kept their friendship on All-Stars. It was also intially considered a love triangle as it was the main motive for Ally and Tess to fall in love with Hunter during season 2, although there were fans who either preferred Tess and Ally together or Hunter and Ally. In other cases, many considered Tess as a better romantic option for Hunter instead of Ally; however, most part as satisfied that the three at least managed to rekindle their friendship as a trio. Fans of the idea of the trio being an actual polyship are often disappointed that their dynamic was canonically changed from its Season 2 poly undertones to outright confirming Ally and Hunter as the only actual couple among them in All-Stars, leaving Tess for the latter couple as a third-wheel.
