Hydralectra is the non-binary ship between Electra and Hydra from the Starlight Express fandom.

Wembley Park Theatre[]
Electra and Greaseball are finishing fueling up, when Hydra and Rusty arrive. The two are going to team up to race against Electra, Greaseball and their partners. During the race, Electra is able to get into first, but gets into a fight with Greaseball. This causes Rusty and Hydra to race by them and lead the race. Electra and their own partner unable to catch up, Hydra and Rusty winning the championship.

Hydralectra is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not having any major interactions in the show itself. As well as Hydra only being introduced to the show in 2024. As a result any of his ships with anyone are up against one that have 40 years of history. Making it hard for some to get attatched to him as well, which also makes it hard to ship him. Its rival ships include Tendersteam and Electronents.
Most who ship them tend to do so as part of the larger main character polycule. Though it is not super frequent for Hydra and Electra to be with each other. Though they may get together at some point with one of their other partners involved. Others do like the idea of Electra being with Hydra specifically. With them being more or less into the idea of converting to Hydrogen as an energy source. Other like the idea of Electra adding Hydra as one of their components. Making their relationship part of that larger polycule. As well as having Hydra be in a relationship with their components as well.
