Hydreagle is the non-binary ship between Hydra and Golden Eagle from the Starlight Express fandom.

Golden Eagle and Hydra do not have any significant interactions in the show itself. They do however compete in a few group numbers together. Namely, "Pumping Iron", "The Rap" and "Light at the End of the Tunnel". The two are also on opposing sides when it comes to who they support in the race. With Golden Eagle supporting Greaseball, due to them both being diesel's and Hydra being Rusty's racing partners.

Control calls for Heat two to begin, and announces Golden Eagle for track one, racing with Joule. They call Momma and Hydra for track four, with the two taking their place next to Golden Eagle.

Hydreagle is a rarepair in the StEx fandom. Mostly due to the two not interacting in the show at all. As well as many finding that their personalities might not work together either. Its main rival ships include Tendersteam and EagleArrow.

A few fans ship them due to their actors sharing a dressing room. This meant that they would often appear in social media posts together, and would often be close in them. The result being fans seeing a potential ship with the characters based on these interactions. Though it was not as prominent as shipping other characters based off social media posts, as they rarely posted just the two of them. As well as the interactions often not being in character or more for fun like other actors social media interactions.

Some fans believe that the two are exes or had previously had a one night stand at some point. With it possibly ending badly, making the two dislike each other. Or that Eagle found Hydra annoying and broke up with them for that reason. This past relationship would end up being a point of contention for any future relationships of Hydra's. As well as it being mentioned as one of Eagle's in fics about any other ships of the two's.
