HyunNyeo is the femslash ship between Cho Hyun-ju and Seon-nyeo from the Squid Game fandom.
Canon[]
The two met each other during the killing game and interact for the first time during the Six-Legged Pentathlon game when players are tasked to make up teams of 5. With less than 2 minutes on the clock, Seon-nyeo joins the two pairs that have stumbled upon each other, Hyun-ju with Young-mi and Yong-sik with Geum-ja. During the duration of their playtime, Hyun-ju keeps a check on Seon-nyeo by not letting her distract her teammates. One of those examples being, putting her hand on the other's mouth when Geum-ja was playing Gonggi, so she would stop disturbing her.
When it was Seon-nyeo's turn to play Spinning Top, she becomes more nervous as she sees the pool of blood at her feet. As she starts readying the spinning top, Hyun-ju reminds her that the way she was doing it was wrong and she retaliates back, stating that she knows that. Then her tries at winding the fiber thread around the spinning top fail and Hyun-ju reassures her not to look at the clock, as she tells her there's enough time.
With more tries, Seon-nyeo becomes more agitated and says that someone should shut Geum-ja when the latter asks her if she played the game before. Hyun-ju in response looks at Geum-ja and tells her to quiet down. With a minute on the clock, Seon-nyeo starts mumbling under her breath and fails to ready the spinning top again and again, until she starts to have a breakdown. Hyun-ju having enough of that slaps her twice, hard enough to make her bleed, and tells her that she'll kill her before her gods do if she gives up. With that, Seon-nyeo successfully launches the toy and they are able to survive the game.
During Mingle, when the amount of players is called out to be ten and the group needed one more person, Hyun-ju pulls Seon-nyeo and brings her to their team. While in the room, Seon-nyeo makes a remark about how they would've died without her and Hyun-ju gives her a look. Later when the number needed was 4, Hyun-ju's group abondons Seon-nyeo and after they leave the rooms, she gives a mischievous look at Hyun-ju and her group. They both survive the game.
After Mingle, Seon-nyeo comes up to Hyun-ju's group and curses them. She tells them that they will all die in these games while looking into each others eyes. During voting, Hyun-ju votes to leave the games while Seon-nyeo votes to continue them.

The biggest appeal of this rarepair is the potential between the two being enemies to become lovers. They were at first were neutral to each other, but after Hyun-ju's iconic slap scene with Seon-nyeo, it fueled the relationship between the two even more, with fans seeing potential for more. This ship is usually referred to as "toxic yuri" due to their nature and dynamic. This is considered as a rarepair due to the fact that Hyun-ju has more popular ships with other characters, them being Hyunmi and Hyunseok. Also, because Seon-nyeo isn't considered a popular or a likeable character in the fandom, she wouldn't be shipped as much with other characters or in general.
