IkeLink is the slash ship between Ike and Link from the Super Smash Bros. fandom.
Canon[]
Both are swordfighters. They are known for being rather quiet and reserved.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
In Event Smash 39, "All-Star Battle x2", Ike and Toon Link are two of the eight opponents the player needs to fight.
The thirteenth Co-Op Event, "Blades of the Quick and Mighty", Ike teams up with Marth to defeat Link, Meta Knight and Ganondorf.
The Subspace Emissary[]
After Ike and Link assembled their own groups of heroes, they finally meet when Meta Knight regains control of the Halberd. After the Halberd is destroyed, they enter a fleet of different spaceships, forcing the Subspace Army into a retreat. However, when they finally feel ready to take on Tabuu, he effortlessly turns them all into trophies, scattering them all across the Great Maze. It is up to the remaining fighters to save everyone and challenge Tabuu for good.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS[]
There is the Event Match "The Ultimate Swordsman", where the player controls Ike and has to defeat almost every swordsman on the roster, including Link and Toon Link.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]
The new Breath of the Wild Link has an up taunt of him sheathing and unsheathing his sword, similar to Ike.
In Ike's Classic Mode "The Black-Clad Warriors", Link and Toon Link (as their "Dark Link" alts) are Ike's sixth opponents.
In the Spirit Battle for "Hero's Comrades", Link and Ike fight side-by-side. Link represents Erik, while Ike represents Hendrik.
Fanon[]
IkeLink is one of the most popular slash ships in the Super Smash Bros. fandom. It is the second most popular ship for both Link (after LinkPit) and Ike (after IkeMarth). The ship is sometimes depicted as being in a love triangle with Marth, which is fueled by Roy's absence in Brawl, with shippers feeling that Ike is a decent replacement.
The ship appears to have had its start in Brawl, since most fanart depicts the Twilight Princess Link falling for the Path of Radiance Ike. Though the variation with Radiant Dawn Ike (commonly nicknamed as "Gorilla Ike", for being considerably more muscular) present in Smash 4 also has its fans. Strangely, the ship seems to have taken a hit after Ultimate, which had the Link from Breath of the Wild replace the Twilight Princess one as the main Link of the series, which is sometimes represented by Ike being disappointed at Link's change. The most common explanation for this is that BOTW Link is "too masculine", since part of the appeal of the ship is the contrast between them.
A few people have noted that, with his green tunic and hood, Link bears a passing resemblance to Soren, who is the most popular love interest for Ike in his home series.
