IkeMia is the het ship between Ike and Mia from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Path of Radiance[]
In the GameCube game, Ike and Mia cross paths for the first time in chapter 7 of the main story mode. At that point the Greil Mercenaries are fighting against a Daein batallion and have just started a siege inside one of their prisons. Mia appears next to some stairs after the first turn. She then starts to automatically move towards Ike until she manages to stand one square apart. Then a small cutscene will play. Ike is surprised at the fact that Mia calls him by name and asks who she is. Mia explains that she had been hired by the Crimean army as a paid mercenary to help drive back the Daein forces. However she got careless and ended up getting captured. She was later freed by Greil, Ike's dad, which explains how she knew about him in the first place.
Ike tells Mia that they are trying to reach inside the fortress to pick Greil up and that she should probably take the chance to escape. She is impressed however, at how well they are fighting despite being bastly outnumbered and decides that she is joining in, umprompted. Ike warns her that he can't promise her getting paid just for choosing to fight on her own but Mia replies that she doesn't care and she will stick with him regardless.
During the rest of "The Mad King War" Mia remains with the mercenaries and also partners up with Ike ocasionally (This is revealed in an optional support conversation later on in the next game). After the Crimean Alliance defeat Ashnard the Mad, Ike goes back to being a simple mercenary. Mia is one of the few characters that decide to follow him after he returns back to gallia. Promising to also have a duel with him later on.
Radiant Dawn[]
In the WII sequel. The Greil mercenaries don't actually appear until the 3rd part of the story. This time they come back in one of the pre-rendered cutscenes of the game where they work together to save Lucia from being executed. Ike and Mia are seen to still be with the company 3 years after the war had ended. They also seem to be the most changed from before. Since's Ike is taller with an updated outfit and Mia also seems to have gotten a lot longer hair. This custcenes also shows they both are some of the few characters to have full voice acting. Which was really rare at the time of the game's release (For Fire Emblem Specifically).
Just like before, Mia is a member of Ike's party but now she is included since the beginning and can only leave if she is forcefully taken out during part 4's group preparations or if she is killed during gameplay. Something of note is that thanks to how the support system works in the game. Almost every character can build support with any other character. In most cases this ends up making the conversations feel a lot more generic since they have to cover a lot more ground. However Ike and Mia are special in the sense that many of their dialogues together are exclusive to themselves. Making it feel like a more convenient support than normal.
In their C rank support both compliment each other skills. Mia is seen trying to cheer Ike on to not falter meanwhile Ike reminds her to watch her back.
In their B rank support they propose to team up. Ike asks Mia to watch his back and Mia points out that playing on each other strenghts will give them an advantage over the enemy. Mia also reminisces about the days of the previous war and how she and Ike used to work close together and Ike reasures her that there is strenght in numbers.
In their A rank support Ike vows to not let anything happen to Mia while he is around and to stay close to him and Mia cheerfully reasures him that she won't die until she can have a proper duel at dawn. Mia also directly tells Ike that he is her favorite person ever and that he owes her a sparring session, to which Ike reasures her that he won't even think about dying either, because he always keeps his promises.
By the end of the story after The Black Knight, Sephiram, Ashera and their followers are defeated, Ike goes back to Gallia and Mia is said to go travel the rest of the world but she always keeps coming back to the Greil mercenaries from time to time to spend her time with.
Interestingly, neither Ike nor Mia have any sort of special endings like some of the other characters do, even if they have an A rank support with each other (Ike can be mentioned in other chacters endings but not in a romantic way and Mia doesn't really have any alternate endings period).

IkeXMia is about the third most popular paring on Ike's side (Being slightly edged out by IkeXElincia and both being vastly surpassed by IkeXSoren) and the most popular on Mia's side (The only real competition being MiaXRhys). Some of the reasons for why fans like this paring are that they are both sword fighters and incredibly energetic. Mia being sort of a thrill seeker similar to Ike also helps since she is one of the few potential romantic partners that could theoretically keep up with Ike and follow him in his adventures.
On a more practical/technical note. The IkeXMia support in Radiant Dawn is generally considered to be one of the best for Ike as well for Mia. Besides the extra strenght points which are a nice bonus they both receive an inmense ammount of avoid, which for Mia works wonders since given how quick she already is, it makes her capable of dodging almost any attack and as for Ike it can actually be crucial to fight The Black Knight in both the occasions where he appears as an enemy, as avoiding the knight's hits it's actually a key requirement to obtain certain rewards, mostly in your second playthrough of the game. This also ironically makes it so that Ike's relationship with Mia is what literally gives him the strenght and confidence he needs to overcome his fears and defeat his nemesis. It's also speculated that if Ike were to suffer the same curse of the Fire Emblem medallion as his father Greil once did Mia would be the best suited to free him from it like his mother Elena did before for him.

Trivia[]
- The localization of Radiant Dawn erroneously states that Mia had been broken out of prison by Ike when in Path of Radiance it was clearly Greil.
- A way to look at it, since Mia joined Ike's group and it was thanks to them she ultimately escaped her imprisonment the wording can still technically be correct.
